Random pk in the roots by Savior, feel free to return the favour.
Re: Random pk in the roots by Savior, feel free to return the favour.
A harvester in the roots in a PVP area is fair game for this reason: He is helping another guild (that you may eather be at war with or just dont like) become more powerful by diggin better mats. Granted he may go some other place and dig. In those places he does not have to worry about death by PVP there are other things he needs to worry about (Patrols, more agro and such).

There was a lengthy discussion about this on Windemeer not long before the merge. The general consensus was that, unless there was a compelling role-player reason for the act, it was bad form. Perhaps the feeling here is different...although I thought you all were the "civilized lot". At the very least it seems to me that sneeking up on someone if just cowardly. If you want to Pk someone at least have the guts to show yourself and spout some nefarious dribble first. Otherwise, it seems me you're just a ganker. Where's the sport in that?

U cry about gettin killed in the roots where it is kill or be killed. GET OVER IT. ITs PVP thats part of it rolling up on peeps and killing em for the fudge of it.
Lets just blacklist everyone that wants pvp that will make the game better........NOT.
You peace love and soul chumps are going to be the downfall of the game.
You misunderstand Zen. I, for one, am entering into the spirit of things in exactly the same way as a PKer. If I'm harvesting, etc, in the roots in a PvP zone I know full well that homins can come along and kill me. Does that mean I should just go "ho ho ho, aren't you the funny one!" pretend it never happened and continue until the next time the imbecile is bored and decides to gank me? No, I will respond pro-actively! I will organise homins who can take care of the problem at hand and do so. Such are the consequences one faces when playing in the roots, as you have so rightly said. I don't want to blacklist people, just homins. This is a role-playing game, they are roleplaying a killer, I'm calling in a posse to round him up.

say you like mixed martial arts and i'm a promoter for it. you come to me and say "yeah i'd like to fight in your next event. i say sure but you might suffer serious injury in the match. so you say sure i'll participate and we sign the contract. now in your first fight you're fine and you have a few fights and you win a bunch and lose a couple. now in your most recent event you suffer a broken arm and a busted jaw and a dislocated shoulder
now am i responsible for your injuries or my organization or the other fighter? no we're not nor did we force you to do that, you willing entered the ring/cage with the knowledge that you can suffer a serious injury.
To draw a parallel to real life, if I'm standing in a bus station there are plenty of notices to say "Watch out for pickpockets.". If someone steals my wallet and I don't catch him, I'll go to the proper authorities and give a description. And if that doesn't work, I'll come back around the same time with a few friends, in an attempt to have a "quiet word"!

Killing harvesters in PR, blah, blah, sure whatever. But how could you, in the name of all things holy, harm an innocent mount. Right, that's it Savior, your dead, i'm coming after you and bringing all the armies of heaven and hell with me, if there is even a smudge left after we are finished then we do it all again (and if anyone takes this post seriously they're just as dead).

I agree its a PvP area however lets all just admit there is a difference between PvP and PK.
Someone who ambushes a Harvester in the middle of a pull and then wont fight him in a fair fight or flees the area is clearly not a "dueler" or a "pvper" but simply a "PK".

PKing does not take much courage or imagination, PvPing does.roninpvp wrote:Someone who ambushes a Harvester in the middle of a pull and then wont fight him in a fair fight or flees the area is clearly not a "dueler" or a "pvper" but simply a "PK".
