The work done on ATS is very important for the success of each patch. Currently testing is done by a few volounteers and is quite random (it isn't guided). During focus beta, testing various futures was done very effectively and lots of people were really motivated to do so. Currently, ATS isn't very popular and some bugs still make it to the live servers. What about focus testing for free playtime? I think a few peeps would be very interested to participate. Free days could be earned in different ways:
- Individual focus testing and writing a full report
- Testing something by the guidance of a few GMs
- Finding a new bug (be the first one to find it)
- ...
The time spend on ATS shouldn't be a factor for determining the amount of free play recieved, its the result that counts.
This could give Nevrax a very cheap testing team
