Just a little postscript. If the forest foragers can go into Nexus for supreme mats - where can desert, Lakeland or Zorai diggers go outside of PR? Is this not a little unbalanced?

LOL Jungle and Forest at the same time? Now thats an achievement! :p

The original question was whether or not Supreme mats could be found anywhere *but* the PR and Nexus. Nexus gives forest mats, but I guess the devs decided that since you absolutely can't get there without having gone through the PR at least once (other than the one event :P ), then that section should get supreme too, as it apparently counts as the PR in some twisted manner.

Currently, my stance is still no.

Yes, it is, because one can only make Matis Items with those Forest brand supreme mats. No offence, but.. Ew. :(

All things have a reason....

Nexus - isn't an extention of Matis ... its a region that happens to be Forest.
The central location 'Destinys End' hints at something.

The north region of Matis, isnt desert to give the Matis an advantage, its a desert because their arrogant ancestors tried to gain power over the Fyros by cutting off their water.

The roots are a dangerous place, not to stop people getting super materials, its dangerous because its the source of the Kitin and the controlling fractions down there were weakened by the war and have yet to regain control.

Loria, is hard to access. The Karavan sealed this area to control the war between Tryker and Matis. They want to control the resources here.

Bounty Beaches is a extreme region, it holds the strongest kitin presence in Tryker.

Darkmoor is devoid of life - because the water is poluted.

The materials surround the Fyros towns because in a desert you build a city on a water and material supply.

Pyr is rich and different to all other capitals, fire destroyed their 4th city... the people who lived in this 4th city had to go somewhere.

Zorai has a higher population of herbivours because its lush and they thrive. But its aggro is stronger, because its well feed.

These are my conclusion based on time spent reading the history, studying the different regions and watching animal behaviour. There is much much more .....

None of that adresses the game balance. The 'history' is added (in detail)after they have put the game together. Only Matisan artisans can use supreme nexus mats.
I am not complaining as I made an decision to move to Matis quite early in game due to what I saw as material advantage in Matis. That was also part of the reason for the Matis branch of Clan Omnis.
Anyway, thanks for the contributions.

I am Tryker, I can dig Forest and Craft Matis.

Who knows in the expansion ... we might all just want to collect 'Godly' mats from the canopy (canopy digging tree).

Nexus mats are limited to ql200 ..... in the end for the ql210-250 items you have only one choice atm.... The Roots.

I like how you look at things, Neun! Kinda like that kid in The Matrix with the spoon - what is actually bending? Makes my mind go all bend-y and free floating and helps this bottom line rock percher appreciate the mechanics of the game even more. :D

Congratulations on your versatility borg9. I and many others craft at least dual national plans. It doesn't change the fact that Matisan born crafters have a distinct advantage over all the others. I was unable to come to Matis before I could do q80 Fyros weps & therefore was trailing behind Matis based crafters. My current forage skill reflects that as q170 desert I am only q140 in forest.
Also, the Kami issues of Dyron are not noticeable in Matis.
Btw, q250 mats are found outside of PR as well.
