I've been playing about a week now and I've recently come to the mainland. I know that most of the people playing are leveled up and moved into more advanced area of the world, but the Cities of Intuition area is mostly devoid of those little blue dots that I had hoped I would find after leaving my period of solitary confinement on Noob Island.
I live in California, so I know that I'm missing many other players who are in Europe or East Coast U.S. because of the time difference, but am I ever going to have any kind of meaningful relationship with the rest of you blue dots?
What's the best was accentuate the social experience while I catch up to the majority of you more developed players in the other areas?
Is there a role for new players at this point in the game?

Hi there
probably the best way is to ask on region for teams or just to say hello It might seem like everyone is an uber player but i still see lots of groups out fighting moderate kipee's
have a look on the events board as well, there are often trips to other lands going on and so on..
and welcome to the mainland, there are more of us than u might think..

I'm not 100% sure, but to my knowledge Zorai is one of the least populated areas anyway.
There are always crowds in Yrkanis, capital of Matis, and there always seems to be new players about. As Rushin said, get on Region and announce yourself - you might be pleasantly surprised at the results. I know I was when I first visited Zorai and was warmly welcomed by many people.

Theres loads of new players who are just starting out and you should be able to team with them to play. By the sounds of it you're playing a Zorai character and unfortunatly they seem to be the least popular race. It maybe something to do with the fact theyre blue and have masks, I dont know I always thought they were pretty cool but ended up playing Matis because thats where all my friends were.
Trick is to talk to everyone, use that region chat and make some frieneds. Higher level players will often take newbies along for some hunts to help them level and even onto other lands where you'll find lots of funny looking folks to play with.

We have some new low level Zorai in our guild, perhaps you could join us and team up with them?

Couple of things you could do is offer to Care Plan for foragers, or Heal for others.
Crafters need mats, and if you have a person Care Planning for you, you can pull more mats, so that is a good thing. And even if you are a low lvl healer, every little bit helps, and the fact that you would be helping in a fight with a higher lvl critter, means more exp for you (too bad there is a 3k exp limit per kill). Seeing as how I am earning almost that killing things by my self, I would welcome even a lvl 10 healer, cause it would cut my down time, so the same exp, only kill more often.
Noh

Still based out of Zora, even at lvl 66 fight, lvl 96 heal
