Guilds deleted from server. Again.

The whole process for me to get my character back took 6 days. I lost a full days worth of progress ... This was nothing in comparison to losing my ALL of my levels as the other option.

What I can tell you is DO NOT under any circumstances create another character in the slot that was held by your 'missing' character at the character selection screen.

If you need your fix, create a new toon, and have some fun on a noob island helping the new people there, or come across to the mainland and have some fun with the new people here.

6 days?!? Ugh. I hope that's not the case. I was really hoping to help out with Saiwin's world tour on Sunday. It was one of his tours that got me to Fyros and now that I'm stronger, I want to do something to "give back" the generousity I've rec'd.

Helping people on noob island is a good idea; my alt is still there for that very reason. If I'm not back by Saturday, I may do that.

As far as not creating a character in the empty slot, that's what I was told on Klients as well, so no worries. I won't touch that slot until I see my main character return to it. But that's a good warning to anyone that didn't know it.

Last time something like this happend (a few days after the merger), I ended up as leader of another guild.

Granted it was one I made partly for fun, but still surprised that it "jumped" back a few guilds and not the one before last join.

Can't wait to see what happend this time.

I used to be a software engineer. I can not comprehend how a fundamental database integrity issue like this could ever make it into production code. Guilds disappear. Characters disappear. That this could happen at all is mind-boggling to me. That this could keep happening repeatedly... without them fixing the freakin' code the first time... strikes me as a programming competence issue.

The last time guilds were lost, they were back up in 3 days with the contents of the GH intact.

All 3 servers went down last night, so its not surprising there are a few "issues"

The last time guilds were lost, they never came back. I know for a fact that at least Synergy and Gladius Jenae were never restored. Certain members of GJ did end up back in that guild (and out of the SW) after the server merge, but that was almost 2 months after they disappeared. And it was obviously not a "fix" or even an intended consequence of the merge.

i believe on arispotle I heard of evolution and atys ghosts losing their guilds around the same time, but they had them back within a few days. So I dont know what happened with the US ones.

I hope all of you with deleted characters or lost guilds get them restored quickly and fully. I know how frustrating it can be. My old guild Synergy was lost after a server crash and it was never restored. But since then, Nevrax has been successful in restoring lost guilds and chanacters, so I'm hopeful everything will work out ok for you guys.

It may be untrue for those who have always been on the Arispotle server. Those of us from Windy though all remember all too clearly when several guilds were 'lost' and they were never replaced. This is exceptionally frightening, the smaller the guild, the more upsetting it is. I am a one person guild, I lost mine. All I can go by is past history that I have seen, and the past history *I* saw, was "too bad, so sorry, start over".

Having done with my guild what I have on my own, faced with past history of other guilds having suffered this, it's an overwhelming thought to have to fill my hall with mats and dappers, again, on my own.

Needless to say, I'm very unhappy, *very* nervous, and at an extreme loss as to what to do now. I'm certain I'm not the only one in this mental position.

Again, I'm sorry for your loss, and I'm sure that all the guilds & items will be recovered intact if at all possible.
