And about Nevrax. Guys, I bow in front of you. Just yesterday I've posted about international law. Today I saw the #21 point in EULA was modified. Suddenly, Nevrax is no more under interational laws. Nor United Nation laws. Only French law is apply. What can I say more? If you modify the EULA as you wish - I guess that's the reason because we have to press "accept" at each launch of the game - I have no more comments.
1 goddamn day and you modified the EULA in your favour. That's great. I will think at this.

And about the perpetual defenders of Nevrax: I'm starting to believe you are hired by Nevrax to defend the image in forums. To look like the players are defending. Nice tactic.

Strident and idiotic customers get the short thrift. Tech support get told to hang up on these muppets and if you act anything like this with the CSRs I'm surprised they put up with you.

For some reason some people have it in their head that making an annoying ass of yourself gets things 'done'. Quite the opposite.

But is a high difference in acceptin all the devs/CSR are saying, worshiping them all the time and senseless defense of their mistakes. No matter a player says in a forum, you are there, guys, ready to defend Nevrax. If you dont have a valid argument, you are starting to making fun or you are placing some off-topic post to start an argue that makes the main tread useless. Or even worst you are posting half-insults.

I DO like the game. I DO play the game. But I also know what is SUPPOSED to be and is not. And defending x or y aspect from game will not help in developing it better. Mindless criticism will not help either. But each person who criticise the game or company in any way, gets flamed by you.
Imo that's not the way. But I'm only 1 and you are many. Too bad.

Since I have a daughter I see such behaviour every day =)

She sees something she want. Makes a tantrum till she gets it. Once you give in she drops it 5 minutes later with desinterest, just to start the whole procedure with something else.

I think its just calling for attention because this guy feels lonely or something.

I for one am not for limited freedom of expression, BUT for total freedom of expression vutescu, and i feel you have the right to speak what you want. Main reason for this is not that everyone is entitled to an opinion, but that everyone has a different opinion (since it refers to your point of view, which cant be replicated)... So pls post all the comments you wish and don't listen to panicking chickens, that when theysee a nailclip think its the end all of swords that will destroy society's fabric in itself and condemn us to a life in Hades.... Those people need to get real and apreciate that its OK to say something is not right, as much as they need to learn that insulting someone because they made their opinion heard is just plain redneck/hillbilly/middle-america sexual criminal websites/reductive pieces of crap coming out of their mouths.... If they can't listen then they shouldnt talk, thats all.

Hmmm, as I see she has a little bro now as well, she will start to annoy him to get attention. Having not one but two daugthers you can trust me on this

The best way to stop such patterns is to isolate the child from their current actions (whining) by putting it in her room as a fact, not as punishment. ("You will play at your room now", just a fact they will have to deal with and one that will be enforced)
After a few minutes, when the whining is pushed to the background by new facts (playing in their room), you can present a new fact.
This second fact is what they really wanted in the first place, receiving the parents attention. Read a book with them, play a puzzle, color a book, whatever suits, not whatever they think they want.
With an concentration span of 5 to 10 mins, you can go back to Ryzom after a short while. Repeat every 1 hour, 30 minutes.

This can be applied at a complaining spouse, but be carefull of the isolation part. The other parts work perfectly...

No, you don't know what it's supposed to be, at all.

This isn't a single product that SHOULD come out with everything all at once, its a live and developing system with all the inherent unpredictability that that implies. No promises can be made that are 100% firm and simply because you're a paying customer doesn't mean you have to be a git to people or throw a tantrum like a three year old when you don't get your own way.

Look at the positives for chrissakes.

While endless, pointless complaining and hostility aren't very effective, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

More importantly, if customers are getting angry about the way the game is going, I think that's important for the developer to notice. Either the game isn't designed to fit the needs of those customers, or something about the game is causing some disruption.

I'm not a CSR, but I am a software developer, and I can say that communication problems represent 90% of the obstacles in my work. All input is valuable, negative and positive.
