As far as ease of travel goes, if not expense or time, London makes sense. Also being the huge population centre that it is.

Seriously though, I like the idea a lot (talking about the game etc) but hate the idea of seeing how nerdy you lot really are

Speaking of RL gatherings, have you ever heard of Fantasy Live Roleplaying? About 3,000 UK people meet in Derby every August for 3 days and it ends in a big battle. Maybe us brits could meet there in character, he hee. The site of 2000 tents and every fantasy creature/character you can imagine is amazing!
