Do we need a Guild for harvesters??

Heh, you say these mats will be used for crafting weapons/armour we require
maybe if we were in the same guild, dont forget 80% of people on this game are "guild only crafters" so we wont benifit from this unless we are the persons harvesting the mats our selfs, as for hunting/guarding you, i get a max of 25 xp from anything in FF/PR unless of course its a boss mob..
so i see this as being a rather pointless suggestion imo

Drazlem - don't you think that is why I asked for it to be closed or are you really that short sighted. Btw, if it was a guild for artisans do you think the only armour made would be for themselves? Go criticise an active thread.

alyssah wrote:Just about to start harvesting q180 desert & q140 forest mats, I realise the impending problem that Homins in a small guild have in digging quality mats.
In Matis, no North Border fort in KoD and in Thesos & Dyron the same. And these are mainly only choice mats.
After discussing it with a few fellow Homins in a similar predicament I have decided to use the Forum to help resolve this.
How are we to get the protection we need to go into Flaming Forest, Prime Roots and the other dangerous places where excellent or better mats can be found (up to q250) without being torn apart? Please consider & comment on the following suggestions:
1) We form a temporary guild with the sole intention of diggers grouping together to chase the better mats, allowing some to take turns as protectors & diggers. This does not exclude tanks, nukers or healers joining who could hunt where we are prospecting and also acting as guards. This is where the mats will come from to make the high level weps, armour etc that they require.
OR
2) We form a dedicated guild for foragers, which will have the same aims & objectives as any other guilds but will concentrate 3, 4 or 5 days a week on collecting mats with the support of the other members. Again it does not exclude tanks who would be a welcome addition as long as digging was seen as the main aim.
That's my initial suggestions to get the ball rolling but your comments are welcome.
I am quite happy for you to 'tell' me ingame if you do not want to post here. However, this is not meant to draw members away from other guilds. Everyone takes a responsibility for their mats and if they want to pass them back to their own guild that is for them to decide.
Over to you.

Hello,
In Frahar Towers you can get all mats up to Q150(excellent too),not sure about Dyron, but I think this is a very good idea, just can you belong to 2 guilds at once?
Re: Do we need a Guild for harvesters??
I was looking to forage exc or better mats. This cannot be done with the few people in our guild that are online at the same time. Q150 mata are also not very good as we now dp q180 or better.
I am about to open a thread in forum offering my Matis guild as a harvester/crafter guild. People will be welcome to join temp or permanent & we can go to more dangerous spots for the better mats.
