(Oh, and with regard to the comment someone made about maths and democracy, it was the Greeks who invented those things, and Einstein was a Swiss patent clerk AND it was a Dutchman (Cornelius Drebbel) who invented the submarine in the 17th century, although to be fair it was the Americans that invented the nuclear sub )

Skype is internet phone thingie. There is not very much of a diff from YAIMC (acronym contest , *except*:
- VoIP that works...
- long distance calls made cheap. very simple actually. Either two people use Skype (free) or a Skypeserver at the location you want to contact makes a standardphone call, from that server to you is using the free internet connection. So you pay local fees (if you use that feature).
- Send voicemails if someone is offline.

Actually, it is like having a 15 kg phone that is sitting on a desk and is borked to configure....
On the other hand, it allows me to speak to my overseas beloved for free

The point being don't accuse someone of being something they're not, or make comments about silly things like being thankful. You will just have the mickey taken out of you for your unbelievably naive arrogance.

I figured this whole thread could not get faster downhill as it was (and is) going already, a sing-a-song was in place.

When I read the first post my main thought was that no single reply would add anything to the random trolling done in the first. Everyone is kicked in the nuggets, you know...

- The players for being raving and ranting idiots
- Nevrax for messing up Nevrax
- The devs for making an addictive product that stinks
- The community managers for being nice

When grown-ups are having an argument, the kids tend to shout through that with things totally unrelated like: "She stole my doll, weeeeeeeeee" "Daddy, she hit me, weeeeeeeee".
Me and some others are doing the same as these kids.

The German. The german thought it up, the french learned it to smoke, the english teached it to be ridiculous, the dutch simply made it cheap and sold it expensive and the spanish were very passionate about it, while the Italian made humor an offer it simply couldn't refuse.
Eventually, everyone teamed up against the belgium that had trouble where to fit in the fries and were all beat the crap out of by Jean Claude van Damme....

i think I forgot the main topic. want to discuss WWII, go to a different forum please. that has nothing got to do with SoR. all countries are soaked in blood, people just try to justify their blood spilling business with different lies. and all this who invented what just seems like a huge c*cklength contest.

back to topic:

there have been many great ideas for SoR in the past and some of them have been implemented but as far as I'm concerned Nevrax should think about how to get the players back.

the weird thing is, just as an example, everyone is mad at WoW, blizzard, that stupid hype, their awfully chewed up and spit out idea, but somehow everyones playing that game. and why? hell i don't know. maybe because people say they have content?! but was is content? do we also need chewed up and spit out missions?

Nevrax has great ideas, build a very lovely game, but I think they got stuck at all the small things. and how can I support them? I've just placed the order for the next 6 months and I'll write bug reports to help them out and make this game come true and not let it drown.

and to this "dynamic changing world" and "constant stream instead of patches": great idea, but they've got to work on other issues first. what do I mean? how about the things refered to in the users manual, outpost for example.
