Tribes and Outposts - Rules

Matis Arena

Tribes and Outposts is a turn-based game of team skills which consists of two teams (6 players per team); The Tribes and The Outposts:

The Tribes:
Kinsman
The Runners (5 players)

The Outposts
:
Duty
Stopper
Post 1
Post 2
Post 3
Post 4

We'll start with The Outposts.

THE OUTPOSTS (4 players):

The outposts have 4 'Posts' (team members) in a large square formation and equipped with 2 daggers each.
They are stationary throughout the whole game, and can attack the runners only when they are standing at their location.
The outposts may only use default attacks.

THE DUTY (1 player):

The Duty is the target and shouts out when he has been hit by the Kinsman.
The Duty will get shot, and shouts out at every third hit at which time a single runner may move from the other team.
The Duty may NOT attack the Kinsman.

THE STOPPER (1 player):

The Stopper's Role is to heal the Duty and ONLY the Duty.

Now to explain The Tribes.

THE KINSMAN (1 player):

The Kinsman is the key to the Tribes' movements.
Equipped with a pistol and ammo the Kinsman shoots the Duty 3 times - hit once (Duty shouts 1), hit the second time (Duty shouts 2), hit the third time (Duty shouts 3)!
After the 3rd successful hit one runner may move to the first, or next, Post.
The Kinsman is the only player in the game permitted to use special attacks if they wish, but will not have their stamina healed during the game.

THE RUNNERS (5 players):

Only one Runner may move per every three successful hits on the Duty.
The runners may not be healed and if a runner should die at a Post they will be healed and have to leave the game.

Weapons
:

The Tribes will need:
1 pistol and lots of ammunition

The Outposts will need
:
4 pair of daggers

Each team will take it in turns to play both Tribes and Outposts, so should come equipped with both sets of weapons (pistol + ammo, and 4 pairs of daggers).

A few simple rules:

No speed-up stanza
No auras
No self-heals
Only the stopper may heal, and they may ONLY heal the duty.

Ensure that your Kinsman comes equipped with a pistol and LOTS of ammo!

The Arispotle Events team have put together a short tutorial video to demonstrate how the game works which you can download from the link below:

OOC:
This game is very similar to rounders or baseball.
