Tech support chat program - how the heck do i use it?

OK, Im starting to get ticked off. This game took forever to install. It took forever to patch. It reboots within a minute of logging in. The manual has a whole ONE sentence on technical support. The technical support consists of this forum, and an online chat. The chat program has no instruction. I get it unzipped and installed and loaded. The page where you download the chat program give you helpful command of :
tell [name] [message].
Now this is an invalid command, not that I would know who [name] refers to. Me? A tech support guy? What the hell am I suppose to do with this chat box?

Sorry to sound irrate here, but is there any technical support in this game? This is crazy.

Anyways, anyone know how to work this chat box?

Assuming you have an active account, you should be prompted with a request for your login and password, which will then load you into an open chat room. Have you reached that point?

Does this mean that for some reason I have no plug-ins that are required?
I downloaded and installed everything as I was suppose to. Shouldnt there be some type of text file explaining what is suppose to happen?

Could you try reinstalling Klients and make sure you have a file named plugs.ini and alias.ini?

I reinstalled. I have the alias.ini, klients.ini and plugins.ini. I still get the same error message.
I tried using the UK version as well with the same results.

I'm in the same boat. I remember there being an post on the old beta forums about the add'l text that needed to be added to the ini file. Unfortunately though I searched for it, I can no longer find it. Also, my bookmark to it brings up nothing

OK, I got the darn chat to work. I created a folder under the Ryzom director called chat, and downloaded and unzipped to there. I get more folders and options when installing from under the Ryzom directory. Why? I dont know.

Anyways, if other people arent able to load the chat Klient, try doing it from a directory in Ryzom (maybe naming the folder chat if that would matter).
