It actually states that it is 'related' to the nanoseed. Now this could mean many things. 1) seeds DO grow, hence it could have been implamented and grown on our face or whatnot 2) implanted into the zorai by the karavan 3) since it is biological something may have occured in the past where it is now biologically passed on during reproduction.

We will see. I really do hope they have thought this out and made it work with what the lore says.

3 makes sense with a seed being passed on to the child from one/both of the parents hence even Karavan aligned Zorai still have there masks.

My theory? Well, it involves what Aeion Lyan said when he visited Pyr.

“The seed of life thrives in the fertility of your faith within. Kami or Karavan; all possess this gift and are reborn accordingly”

Now, for me, this means that the nanoseed is probably like DNA, or our core spirit (depending on whether you want to be techy or spiritual about it). When we teleport or respawn, we are built again from our nanoseed template.

This also suggests that we have been engineered as a lifeform.

Other than this, well, further extrapolation suggests that we may not be the only thing that has been engineered. Atys may have been born entirely from a nanoseed. One that mutated and created us. And possibly the Kami and the Kitin too. The Karavan then set a virus in motion (GOO) to wipe out the Kami (a mutation that they didn't expect) before attempting to use us as a slave/soldier race to help them rule the galaxy in the name of their leader, Jena.

Ok, ok, so I rambled a bit to the end. But you must admit, some of it makes sense? Well, the first bit anyway.

I'm not trying to be cynical but in the past when I've looked too deep I just found so many contradictions mainly due to the story being re-written multiple times.

I've now resigned myself to just take what they give in the way of official events and just not worry too much about the past ;P

I'm ignoring any plotholes. Any info I've had so far has been second hand, therefore it's not a hole in the plot if something is wrong, it's misinformation, lies and chinese whispers. What do we really know to be true?
