I now hope you know where it says it :)
Ah, there was something, good to know, thanks. :)

I mostly use the suggestion and bug tickets, so don't really notice the others anymore.
Heck, I can't even remember last time I got stuck in terrain (hooray for that bug fix).

So I am now on your guild's blacklist for killing someone who admits botting. The gm's haven't punished that person, I killed them.. by your own statement someone should punish them, so will you too try and kill me at every opportunity? Or will you stick by your words?

Ummmm... I didn't say that the punishment would be coming from either me or Infinity. I meant that if someone was found to be botting, that Nevrax/Jolt/Powers That Be should be doing the punishing. Where did I say that someone that killed a botter should be KOS?

I think there may be a misunderstanding in the way that either both of us, or one of us has read each other's posts, but I just can't see where you read that I said that if someone was botting that it should be up to the players to dole out punishment.

No, the point is that I DID kill someone because I know they were botting, and for that I am on a guilds blacklist. That's all. I'm not going to hide under rp as a reason for killing them, it's simply because I don't like people cheating, and I will kill them for it.

This person has admitted he was cheating. He was talked to by the GMs and they punished him the way that they have set up for this scenario. He has stopped cheating. Should be the end of story. But for some reason it is not.

As far as being on the blacklist, you knew it would happen when you killed the player.

Salym, your explanations are clear as mud.

The player caught cheating admitted it, so it is forgiven?
((Your Honour, yes, I murdered her, I’m sorry.
((Since you admitted it……you can go, try not to do it again, ok?
-there was no punishment (ie. see title of this thread)
-there was no reversal of skills obtained by cheating
-there was no removal of title obtained by cheating.
-Zen is still able to go to PR and pull valuable lvl 250ish
Black and White mats, but many others cant because they
are NOT-CHEATING their way up there slowly.

Lath (Botter-killer) is part of a “breakfast club” we have at GoC of over lvl 200 diggers where we all spend many many many many hours digging and chatting and rezzing each other and EARNING our skills instead of cheating our way through. What an interesting concept for the yet un-punished cheaters …… enjoying other players company while skilling, thereby making it fun….rather than an automated bot/macro program. But oh no! this is a game! Can that happen?

To date, there may be no GM justice for these things but reputable guilds can have some. I am positive I can speak for my guild knowing if one of us cheated, they would kick us from guild without hesitation. The only other justice atm is the Wrath of Lath….. The fact that Zen was welcomed into Infinity after he was caught and an admitted botter makes ALL members of the guild suspect. I’ve heard rumours of other Infinity members botting in PR and frankly, I would have thought it just an exacerbation of rumours against them until they took Zen in. Of course this also may explain why Infinity kills harvesters in PR……other harvesters may see them botting?

To cheat at a game to advance oneself is an ethical standard equal to the person who keeps extra change given to them by a poor cashier who has to replace that money from her pocket at the end of the day. They feel like they got away with something, and its possibly justice enough to be that pathetic.

And PS: an aside to the ex-Infinity player who sent me an apology for the events/infractions that transpired over the last few months. Thank you for that. :-)

Yeah to that X-Infinity member who appologised to Temperrr, i would like it known, ( even though i never got an appology ) i do not consider him an enemy, it takes a big man to admit he was wrong.

I take my hat off to you :)

Now I may be reading into this and typically stay out of petty squabbles... I do not agree with my guildmates attitude here, but he has a right to be himself. Are you implying that you and your guild will somehow have a better reputation on Arispotle then a member of Melinoe ?

There have been some stupid things done by individuals, and that will never change... but when the number of individuals seem to always carry the same guild banner word gets around. If ANYONE from Melinoe ever did something of this nature, you know who to & how to contact us... Everyone is allowed to be an individual and have fun as they see it on their dime. Our guild expects their fun to fall within guild guidelines, while also knowing there will be personal things along the way that will arise...

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones... The thing between you and thexdane reflect on you as individuals... being guild officers you bring some of that back on your guild.

I would like to throw a couple things out though i know they will just be tossed. Yes I am in infinity. I have not been from the start however. The reason I joined them is because they are a great group of people (not saying everyone else isnt). I am weak... i was even weaker. Only thing i can do now is dig and craft. I couldnt even do that when I joined. Infinity is not about all power. Yes we like to be strong, but that is not our focus.

Dragging mobs: Yes, some infinity members DO drag BUGGED critters around. These are kinchers and what not that will NOT attack unless you atk first. They recognize it and then they taunt it or what ever it is they use and have a pet. They do run around we these and there has been a time that i was on where this occured in roots. As far as actually dragging the mobs we do not do this. If this occurs (do to being over run in the past and going for safety) then we do go back and run.

Botting: this has occured in the past and it is known. This does NOT happen at all anymore. We have caught others doing it too however, even some who have ratted or whatnot about it. We wont whine about it, we will just kill ya.

Also it was brought up to not fight your whole guild or whatever when we see them and the fact is that we havent. I have seen multiple times when we have come across newer members that have had nothing to do with it.

Finally, it appears that people are having a hard time seperating hats. In the game you can wear multiple hats (not helms :P ) If I/or the guild are at war with someone it does not mean you still cant have fun and enjoy each other's company. It seems that as soon as you (you not refering to anyone in particular) are killed then you hate the other person. The game needs to be seperated from the 'personal' relationships.

Also, we do have members that can be more harsh than others (here they have been referred to as 'acting' not 'being' jackasses). These people are still awesome people. They help so many people all the time and are very generous, participate in treks, events, etc. The thing is they will not allow you to cross them at all, this includes taking our lands instead of your own. Are guild IS zorai, we do have other races but none the less we ARE zorai.

I will just say one more thing before im done. Kill us if you see us in roots, Im not saying this because I think I can kill you because most likely I canNOT kill you. But if our guilds are at 'war' go for it. If you are looking for more excitement go for it, just realize it DOES reflect on your guild. If you wear the tag you are the guild, dont try to deny it. So think of the consequences.
