This is a happy day for The New Empire, no.. a joyous day, a wondrous day!!
For today my dear friends, guild members and all Homins, today is the one-year anniversary of THE NEW EMPIRE!!!!
It was only a short year ago that Shizen Ki first made the guild in OB1. Since then it has gone through many exciting changes and had its fair share of sadness as old friends have left and the joy of welcoming new members as well.
We look back somewhat humbly and realize that The New Empire is the oldest surviving guild now in the game with some of the original members still playing. As well as being the first guild to host a player wedding in game, the wedding of Shizen Ki and the Lady Jaycee, we were so proud that even David Cohen (CEO of Navrax) attended the festivities. Some of you will remember that the wedding was in the final days of OB1 and remember the stirring words of Soulsnatcher as he told us of the future of the game and the vision that Nevrax had for it and us.
In celebration of this milestone in the history of The New Empire, I and all the members of The New Empire wish to invite each and every one of you to a day of events and excitement on Saturday the 9th of April, commencing at 3:00pm GMT until about 9:00pm GMT, or until the guards kick us out of Yrkanis.
We have been working hard to firm up plans for many events and below are what we have currently scheduled; we hope to add more in the coming days.
Bad Taste Fashion Show, who truly has the worst fashion sense in all of Atys, dont forget your bad tattoos and remember to insult your hairdresser for just that right touch of bad hair.
Crazy PvP Event (that will happen in Arena) Naked PvP last Homin standing mass mayhem and lots of laughs, bring your cameras!
Gladiatorial PvP event
Naked Boxing
Mount Race
Mount Parade/Dressier (syncro Mount dancing)
Coolest Spell Contest (every mage would crystalize 3 fav spells and the judges would vote on what the coolest spell is)
Stories of the guild, history of the guild.
A presentation of the "Bump" dance and crowd participation.
Maybe even a wedding if there are any couples out there looking for a good date, The New Empire will provide the reception, with all of the action planned above
Let me take a moment here to publish our credo for those that may not know of it.
Guild Description:
The Old Empire is dead, and our people are divided. It is up to the Matis (and our allies) of today to forge a new empire, and reunite our people. We are the ones who will see the return of the Matis glory to Atys. We are the ones who will tame the chaos that runs rampant across our world. We are The New Empire.
Attitudes:
Toward other homin civilizations:
It is our duty to see that each of the other Homin civilizations develop to their fullest potential. Trade and friendship with the other Homins is encouraged. We welcome diplomatic relations with other guilds as well.
Toward the Karavan/Kamis:
These, while somewhat chaotic by nature, are a vitally important part of our world. None are to harm or impede upon them, or they will be expelled from our empire, and exiled to the burning wastes of the Fyros.
Toward non-homin tribes:
Perhaps there may be of some use for these lesser creatures. We should treat them with the respect due all life. But we will make what use of them we can in the coming times.
If other guilds would like to have a hand in helping out please feel free to offer support for these events or suggest your own, lets make this the largest day of fun Atys has seen yet!!
