If I remember correctly, previous patch (or hardware updates around same time) introduced bad slowmotion problems that lasted for quite long time. I hoped that this patch had fixed those problems for good.

However, after this patch slowmotion spikes have been much shorter but we got this additional bad connection / please wait -problem.

Semi-true, Health service story....

In the intensive care unit in a hospital was this one bed. It became know as the 'Bed of Death'. Patients recovering from serious ops where put in this bed to recover. They kept dying :(

No-one could explain this mystery .....

In the evening the patient would be 'stable'.

In the morning the patent would be 'dead'.

No clues to why ......


One day the Nurse decided to sit by one patient all through the night to see what happened.


Well the answer was incredibly simple, on the Wednesday night, the cleaner came around the ward to do the cleaning. Guess what she did? Well she unplugged the life support equipment to do the vaccuming, then when finished replaced the plug and went on about her business.

90% of problems have an unrelated, but important, cause.

I only hope that one day the rl lag will go away as easily as the in game lag.....

After playing Ryzom this morning and having Lag slow me down most the time while Harvesting and just getting about was a real challenge with the lag coming on and off ,i just had to add to the lag debate.
I was on at 04:00hrs GMT Time and the lag was very bad on and off all the time for the full 2 hours i was on.Ieven sent a ticket in but they where not able to help as they had not got a clue when it would be sorted out.
Now i play Ryzom many hours each and every day but of late this lag problem is starting to even bug me now ...so much so that i just pop on to see how the game is playing.
So if it's getting on my T*ts whats it going to be like for noobs who are trying the game out!.
I have heard all the usual lines "it's only when a lot of players are on line " Rubbish at 04:00hrs not many would be on so that has blown that out the water.
Dev's we know you work hard to make this game the best you can....But the lag needs to be the number one on the hit list ....coz if we get players going over to other more stable games then you have not got a game.
This has been going on for a few weeks now and players are fed up with it ..we pay to play this game Ryzom..be we will not pay to play a game that lags so bad it puts you of playing the darn game.

No its not. There was a temporary problem (serious slowdown) that lasted about an hour and was fixed by rebooting the mob AI. No interruption in connection at all.
