An orphan's tale...

It was not long ago that The Great Swarming affected us all, young and elder alike.

Many were lost, including my family.

I was orphaned amongst few after the swarming, having none to take care of me, as I scraped by on whatever I could eat, often learning the hard way what not to consume, attempting with others to recover what little life I had left.

I came to the outpost many years later, experienced and stronger from the seemingly endless time of wandering, making few friends. I learned how to swing an axe and use what was around me to hurt that which could hurt me.

After killing more and more creatures with every swipe I took, I felt the swipes of the decimating Kitin coming down on my family. With every head I severed from a body, I felt that much closer to knowing what my destiny was...

Slowly those creatures, albeit small, turned into slain Kitin in my eyes. With each one I took on, I felt more and more anger come down from within the deepest cauldrons of my soul. With every hurtful scream from the swings I planted into the backs of many more, I heard the sharp screams of the Kitin falling around me...

With every drop of blood spilt, I fed the thirst for vengeance.

I know I do not stand alone in the crowd of decimated Homin-- Zoraii, Matis, Tryker and Fyros alike. But why do we wait to be crushed the insects they are? Why do we retaliate only when attacked? The time has come for us to stop cowering, raise our arms and take the head of every last Kitin there is!

We fear what lies beneath us. But we are on top! We repelled them with mighty strength time and again! They try to exterminate us because they know that we are a very real and dangerous threat to their existence!

I urge you, warriors bring your arms! Crafters, raise high your tools! Harvesters, get ready to dig deep! Because the time has come for Atys to be claimed, once and for all!
