Quick question for those in the know...

Are the spawns available to you solely based on race (ie, a Fyros will always have Kami spawns, a Matis will always have Karavan spawns), or will switching your fame will also switch your spawn points?

Spawn is based of fame. Global fame that is, so if your fyro you will have all kami spawn unless your fame changes to matis which i think will have to be like green then you will lose all kami spawn and start getting karavan. Hope that answers your question.

Its Kami and Karavan fame that determines spawns, not race fame. Positive Kami global fame will give Kami spawns and vice-versa

When I moved my Tryker from Karvan to Kami spawns, it took less than an hour to swap spawns. I would rate changing spawns as EASY.

Simply talk to the welcomer of the city whose fame/spawns you want in on. do the missions that best suit your play type (kill missions? craft? delivery?) about four to ten missions later, TA DA.

Spawns change based on which value is higher, kami or karavan. If Karavan fame is -4 and Kami fame is -12 you will have the Karavan town spawns.

well maybe the mechanics changed but it seems most of you are wrong

I was a tryker with karavan spawns and they did not change until my Kami fame raised above 0. at that point my karavan fame had already dropped to -4 i think.

And instantly all of the kami places i had visited formed new spawn points, while the karavan ones all disappeared.

So basically it is impossible to lose spawn points, and it is impossible to have spawns for both kami and karavan (i am fairly sure about this).

It switches spawn points to other type when fame for kami/karavan rises above 0.
