Veni Vidi Vici: a large, open, and friendly guild.

Post by grandma »

Greetings homins!

Most of you may know me as Gfunk in the game.

So what is Veni Vidi Vici?
We're an open, newb-friendly, and overall helpful group of homins. We are a public, guild, and social event oriented group. The name Veni Vidi Vici is latin spoken by Julius Caesar which means "I came. I saw. I conquered." Despite the phrase and name, we're really a friendly group to be around.

How long have you guys been playing?
This guild is a Ryzom only guild and was established back in the very early days of open beta 1. It has lasted through 3 betas and into the retail launch of Ryzom into present day. I am not sure how long it has been, time flies when you're having fun :0). I'd have to say April or May 2004 (whenever open beta 1 started). So we're active, we're a large guild, and we're here to stay!

How many members do you guys have?
As of this posting, I'm guessing we've had 150+ members total since the early days of the guild many of which have come and gone. The current active guild roster lists 61 members.

Who all can join?
Everyone is welcome to join us regardless of race or level. Although we do screen people who have had prior guild affiliations to learn about possible complications. If you're new to the scene and looking for a friendly bunch, send a /tell to me in the game or get up with an officer of the guild and we'll welcome you aboard. No commitments for members here, nor any lengthy probation periods, heck we've even had people as temp members while they were getting back on their feet. We pretty much give everyone a chance to prove their merit and enjoy a laidback non demanding guild.

What if I'm a trial member?
Not a problem. Once again everyone is welcome to join and a system has been devised to keep our guild roster trimmed and active (although we're still waiting on buggy game features to get fixed, hehe). So whether you are a veteran player from the old skool days, or a newbie trial player, come check us out if you're interested.

Our only policy on new recruit requirements: must be friendly in guild and community, and we must know previous Ryzom guild affiliations if any. After that I have left each officer to recruit on their own terms. Some filter out trial members, or people with pink hair, if you meet my official requirements I'll be glad to personally invite you to join the guild. :0)

So come on down and check us out @ http://ryzom.vx3lan.com

Ask for an officer in the game or send a "/tell Gfunk". Good luck and safe travels! :0D

I echo Basic and Gfunk. The 3Vs are a great group of homins. Look 'em up. And please follow instructions when you are on a trek with either of them. If you do, you will have access to the region they are taking you to. As well as being nice people, they are extraordinary Trek Leaders. Thank you both.

I must have been an exception to the pink hair : )

I have been with this great group of folks for about a month and they are the reason I bought SoR even before my 14 day trial had ended!
