Idea for an Event .. but I want so player input first

I am considering as a event holding an Auction of Armours.

Idea one of each colour and race heavy HQL/MQL and the same with lights.

eg

ql60-100 MQL in Black/White/Red/Blue/Green/Turquoise/Purple/Beige

ql160-180 HQL in Black/White/Red/Blue/Green/Turquoise/Purple/Beige
(possibly higher!)

Outline:

15min-30mins Viewing - allow you to check out the armour stats etc.

Start Auction: bids provided in local chat.

False bids - suggestions on hold this can be verified/stopped
Auction other items?
Proxi bidding for those that can't travel.

any other thoughts?

the heavy armour is interesting in itself, not many poeple make high Q Q160 armour out of guild

though I think this will serve to advertise your wares a little more I also think it would be interesting ingame due to the lack of any realy value of money.

lots of people around the levels you are talking have silly amounts of money to throw around and might just bid silly money to win

not that you'd be bothered by that.

on the other hand I cant take part due to the inability of my weeny grade character not being able to wear that armour (yet)

Yes - srry ment to say this is of course blantent advertising .... not that that matters much. It was more the concept of an auction and selling stuff via that method that I wanted feedback on. If there is enough interest, it could be a regular thing appearing once in each lands capitol. 4 auctions a month.

I am one of those players that loves hvy armour, but has to spend 90% of my gametime in lights. This is why I also make lights.

I've put in a few tickets about having an auction system as an extension of the current merchants.

However, the merchants are good but they do nothing to encourage interaction with other people. And more socialising with those outside your guild is something this game needs imho. Through my rose tinted glasses i can see sunday afternoon's in the capitals bustling with people; crafters selling their wares and making custom items for people with the mats or the dapper. About the only thing we'd need from the dev's is a commerce channel..

The point was that it wasn't just hvys, light .... its will an auction interest the players enough to go to the effort of doing this type of event.

by the looks of it I think it will be worth while giving it a try
