Where to lvl above 200???

Post by auqone »

Its always nice to hunt in Ryzom but i am now lvl200+ elemental and its hard to find a good spot for good xp.

The only spot i know is hunting Great Jugulas in Grove of Confusion (matis)

What other mobs are good for lvling???
and where are good hunt spots for high lvl ppl????

Every terretory has lvl 200-250 area's .. so it shouldn't be that difficult to find a good place

PR hunting is an unfortunate myth.

Mobs there have 3-4x the HPs of their counterparts above ground.

This presents a major problem that hasn't really been even talked about.

Cheers.

most 'great' and meaner 'horrific' mobs be ok xp til 220, small team tho 2-3 ppl, post 220 duo team and your xp with gradually shrink to 1066xp for great jugula (lvl255) at lvl 249 in a duo. Great kincher are more xp, but a greater effort to kill. other than grove try void, scorched corridor, and loria for change of scene.

The main problem with hunting anything besides Jugulas, Najabs, Timmies and a few others that I likely don't know about, is that they don't present easy targets because they have higher HP.

As a nuker with a healer you don't really care much about the amount of damage dealt by the mob as long as you can kill it before it reaches you or very soon after. Hence only the low HP ones really present "worthwile" target.

And then you have to count in traveling time and closeness to a revival point (spawn or TP) as you will die once in a while for sure.

This all concludes to very few places and targets that are optimal. Everything else is sub optimal but if you really get bored by killing the same thing over and over you can try that.

Maybe you should think of getting a Tank then? Hehe. A Nuker/Healer team is all well and good, but a Tank, Nuker, Healer team is far less likely to get wiped.

problem is, if you reach 220+ it is damn hard to lvl with ele, tank and healer. you have to make a 2 man show because of the exp.
I am leveling in the grove of confusion in matis, there is a kami with tickets nearby and many nice homins to help you stand up ;)
there you have jugulas up to 4 or even 5* purple. If that is not enough, you can kill vispa and some other named mobs in the lab north of the kami, with ql 260 loot.
hope this helps a bit.

To get 3k exp fast you need to kill mobs with low HP that give 6k exp (except you powerlvl with a healer that is not grouped). If you include a tank you need mobs that give 9k exp at the lvl of the highest skill used. These mobs likely resist a lot more then the 6k exp mobs. Ergo sum they take a lot longer to get killed. Plus the healer has 2 targets to heal which makes a bigger mess in my experience and the rate of wipes is the same, because wipes happen in unexpected spawns not in controled pulls/kills.

Why the desparate rush to get to cap as soon as possible? So yes, of course, a Nuker/Healer team can get 3k xp faster than a Nuker/Healer/Tank team. But I'm damn sure a Nuker/Healer/Tank team can still get to cap, have less downtime between fights, and less wipes.

This thread was also started with the intention of finding out how to level post level 200. Well if its too difficult to find a spot where a Nuker/Healer team can survive (because of the MASSIVE limitation of having to be able to kill a mob before they reach you), then use a Tank...
