100g de uvas passas pretas
1/4 de xícara de chá de vinho branco
6 pães franceses amanhecidos
Margarina para untar
2 xícaras de chá de leite
6 colheres de sopa de açúcar
1 ovo

Adicione o ovo, o fermento e a farinha e misture bem. Rale o queijo no ralador grosso. Reserve. Escorra as uvas passas. Reserve.

Wrong! :D

Here goes the correct answer.. (that cake is probably a brazilian counterpart)

Ingredients:

7,5 L of milk
1 lemon ?rind? (the "shell" of the lemon)
1 cinnamon stick
90 grs of flour
1 coffee spoon of salt
9 eggs
300 g of sugar
butter
2 soup spoons of powder cinnamon

Making:

Boil the milk with the lemon ?rind? and the cinnamon stick and let it cool down. Disolve the flour and the salt in that milk, after completly cold.
Stir the ?egg yellows? with the sugar till you get a fluffy and kinda white cream (it should be equal in all parts and without nodes).
Take this cream to boil and thicken over a medium fire, always stirring. When you can see the bottom of the pan, take it out of the heat and let it cool down.
Stir the "egg whites" till they are VERY firm (in portugal we say they are good when you turn the recipient upside down and they don't fall) and add it to the previous cream.
Get a CLAY large dish that handles high temperatures and grease it with butter.
With a large spoon put the cream in the dish in uneven spoon takes, like if it was supposed to do make scales (fish scales). Powder the creams surface with the cinnamon, using a filter of some kind. After that take it to the oven at high temperatures (220º) till it starts opening cracks.

It is served cold!

Enjoy...

EDIT: Going off now, but i'd like to know if anyone will actually try it and if they do, the result...

My friend, if I had even a gram of baking skills, I would do it :D However, unless the instructions include the words 'pierce film lid, place in microwave on full power for 10 minutes', I'm afraid I'll have to pass :)

However, I have to say, your cake does sound damn fine :)
