Hmmm, link worked for me. And appears to support what Keoni is saying here. (Of course, it could be a clever forgery to further some dastardly plot for economic domination of Atys  )
And while I initially agreed with the sentiment of outrage over the concept of item scalping, this whole issue has spun completely into the more bizarre part of the Twilight Zone. A KoS guild war over scalping 2 rings?? Which, btw, someone was actually willing to pay the inflated price for? I doubt anyone held a bowpistol to the buyer's head at the time. (Not that it would have been much of a threat, with ranged being like it is... ;) )
And most civilized people understand that collective punishment is just wrong.

Oh, and btw, don't tell anybody, but this is only a game. In which the object is to have fun.
*light bulb blinks on*
Hmmmm, come to think of it, I have heard that there are those who think this kind of...stuff...is fun.
Never mind, flame on, didn't mean to spoil anybody's fun. :o

There was alot of jewels she has jacked and she has admitted it in posts gone by. The 2 rings thing was just what was left and i gave them as an example for cos i could see them. Its not so much the jacking even its more of the two faced way she go's about trying to twist things people say into making them look bad and making her look like the victem when really she was just after ripping peeps off and i myself not others was after KoS on her till she draged my guild and every one else into this.

I really like how Keoni keeps mention his/her crafting. I especially like in the picture how he/she mentions going from 30 to 130 in a week and how difficult it is. Actually thats not very difficult if you have a lot of dapper..... :P

Correct me if I am wrong, but from what I heard...it was NOT two rings that were in question. It was two rings that didn't sell. What I heard was "all of Haddo's jewelery was bought and the prices more than doubled". The resaler did NOT make the items, but bought and repriced them, gouged would be the words I would use. And I also read that Haddo asked that his wares NOT be sold in Fyros...which they were. And I can understand that.

Now if the resaler was asked nicely to please move them to Tryker/Zorai (price staying the same). Then I think that is a fair thing to ask.

I have played a jeweler, granted, not that high level, but it doesn't take TOO long to realize it is THE grind of all craft grinds to level...let's say EARRINGS. I wonder how many STACKS of junk mats you have to grind through to get a level post 100, I would guess many.

And yes I think that it is fair to figure in grinding costs when you sell "market" jewelery, but pricing it more than double the auto price is a bit extreme.

I am not into PVP, but I can see how those that ARE into it might seize on this as the perfect excuse to get them some slaughter action and still save face, maybe even end up looking like the good guy.

Personally, I price my gear UNDER the lowest price or...just a hair over auto, because I am normally hurting for money and want MINE to sell first.

I do not see price gouging as a minor issue, and clearly there are those that agree with me. But then I either trade mats for gear or gear for gear with guildmates...or make it myself. So, in all honesty, the market doesn't harm me, but there are PLENTY of players that remain guildless by choice. And the market hits them right between the eyes.

And if you priced a full set of jewelery over 2 mill dappers, I would call that more than "a little" over priced, that is definately into the gouging range.

First off..."Woah!"

I honestly can't see how something so simple and small (IMHO) can be blown up to such a huge issue.
I personally have a lot of respect for members of OmegaV and have enjoyed a lot of time around them as well.

I, personally, was not involved in the main discussions about the "2 Rings"..but I'm still stunned that it's gotten this far out.
I seriously hope these rings have some underlying super power of some sort..."The 2 Rings To Rule Them All?" lol..come now, it's two pieces of jewelry.

(Please keep in mind I do not know Haddo personally, and my next comments are not aimed at any disrespect).
As far as prices are concerned - From what I've seen, the jewelry market has been out of control, I have seen many people complain about the prices about the available jewelry. There are *many, many* people that are working right now to replace Haddo, in more ways than one in this market. The main reason, being the price. Which is completely understandible.
Every time I see jewel crafters in Dyron, this is their aim. I've even thought of it, myself, but I have other areas in which I'm trying to be of assistance.

I know, from first-hand, that Keoni has been working extremely hard along with myself to raise the jewel skills - *not* only to help us as a guild to recover all that we lost, but to help everyone else that is in need of jewelry.
I've spent time helping aquire the materials for this.

I've done *nothing* but dig since we lost the guild.
I've gained a lot of experience and I've worked my tail off trying to save up and help re-build our family and at the same time work this one from scratch.

As I stated before, I have a lot of respect for members of OmegaV - and very much appreciate the assistance I've gotten from them in the past (including treks, etc.). As for Basic, I don't know you personally - but I can understand how you would want to defend your friend/ally. However, at the same time, I do understand Keoni's point about Haddo's feelings personally. I would understand even moreso - however, if Haddo's feelings were truly known..this however cannot be until he returns.

I'm saddened to see something that seem so small cause such a rift between my family, and a family I would consider a friend.

I am personaly not a fan of PvP - nor have I been for the 6-7 years that I've been active in MMORPGs. So, in this area, I will only assist if truly needed.
I will always help those in need, that is my nature..as a woman, as a gamer and as a role-player (when it's available).
So, if any of you just wish to discuss this with me, or are in need of anything I can help with, just send me a tell or email in game.

Thank you all for your time, I hope this can come to a mature and respectful conclusion in the end.

Your Lovely Little Forager,
**Enfinity/Enfiniti**

Aya its about buying up all of some one elses crafts and then charging a masive mark up. Charging what ever ya want for ya own crafts is up to you but having some respect for other peoples craft prices if just fair play. Why be greedy and try and stop others from selling there wears at the prices thay wanted to sell at.

With apologies in advance for posting more content to a flame war I had hoped to starve of oxygen:

No, Basic, I admitted to no such thing, in that I did no such thing. I resold 2 Haddo rings. No more, no less. That is as evidenced in the transcripts of our in-game conversation...

http://odpublicrelations.blogspot.com/

...and should anyone bother to read through the entire transcript of this ludicrous topic, you will see where I have repeated this simple fact over and over and over again. It is worth noting that nobody accused me of reselling Haddo merchandise - rather, I brought it up myself by way of illustrating my take on the market mechanics here.

Having a disagreement over what is fair and what is not when it comes to market practices is a perfectly legitimate forum topic. Everyone is welcome to disagree with me, and think of me what you will for the opinions I have expressed here. I am truly not planning on running for any popularity contests anytime in the forseeable future. Telling people what you really think forces them to form a substantive opinion of you, for better or for worse.

This has gone beyond a heated disagreement over market philosophy. Early in the thread, rather than debating things here and letting the court of public opinion decide, Basic & OmegaV declared KoS on myself and my guild (again, please see above link).

And now, Basic, you have gone further afield. You are now accusing me of something I did not do, and endeavoring to sully my reputation and by proxy that of my guild by repeating flatly and blatantly false allegations about me. I request that you review this thread and our conversation to refresh your memory, and apologize for this libelous accusation.

Thank you.

Easy to grind lvls by buying mats with the dapper you make jacking peoples prices
