They added a bunch of other lore too. Information about all the leaders and a ton of the animals in game. Now if we could only get content like that in game.

Hey!
To unlock a new theme, the player must complete at least one ritual task associated with this theme. There are two ways to find tasks: you can accomplish random missions received from regular NPCs and if a mission is linked to a theme, this will be revealed and added to your encyclopedia. The other way is to go back and see the learned ones who you met during your introductory mission. If you meet the conditions relating to level and fame, the NPC will reveal a new theme to you, as well as the steps you need to follow in order to access the associated rite.

Once you have completed all the tasks required of a theme, you will then be ready to begin the rite. To start this final mission, you will need to speak to the right Guardian of knowledge. Some, in fact, will only offer rites designed for fighters, others offer rites for craftsmen and others for foragers. The NPC will not launch the rite if you do not have the required level and fame in the corresponding ability.
Ah, so some of the rites can only be given if you randomly do a mission and hit a prereq task.
When several players wish to carry out the same rite, an automatic queuing system sends you a message informing you of when you can begin.

Woa, why is this nececessary? Is this in effect? Has anybody seen this?
In addition, players who complete all the themes of an album earn an honorary title and will have access to special missions that offer corresponding rewards.
Now this is cool! New title!

Is it actualy possible to complete all the themes ? (good fame with Karavan , Kami and all races) or does that mean all the themes for your faction/race ?

Just the question iam asking on the euro boards.

as it reads an album is the drop down section under a heading eg geography of atys. which includes matis and zorai in my case and i had to take karavan fame to complete the matis rite (not happy about that)

edit the actual matis rite gave karavan fame so it's not like i could take a longer route (i used tribes to gain my matis fame).
and the light at the end of the tunnel was the light of an oncoming train...

"The introductory mission entitled "Discover the chest of wisdom" is assigned to each player by default when they arrive on the island departure point. Once you have completed this explanatory mission, you will receive your first amber cube describing how the encyclopedia works"

So where does this leave the most of us who are already on the mainland? Will we automatically have the "first amber cube"? If not, how are we going to get it?

In addition, when will all of this be properly implemented? I believe this was promised in the patch that was due several weeks ago.

Players can, if they so wish, abandon this mission and take it up at a later stage: all you need to do is go and see the barman in the capital.
Same applied to people already on the mainland. Go talk to the barman.

As far as I know, all intro "chest of wisdom" rites are working and there are at least 1 working rite for each civilization.

The one I did is a crafting rite in Fyros (hint: superintendant) that give you the history of Fyros Melee Weapon crafting and a special axe crafting plan.

Have fun and cheers!

doing missions for opposite Kami/Karavan factions is no big deal. It's not like it instantly plummets 10 points. I have negative Karavan faction and I can still do Matis Rite missions no problem. This isn't like killing a tribe. Generally it seems like the only ones the rites effect negatively are the main Kami/Karavan. Of course I HAVE positive Matis, Zorai, Fyros, and Tryker fame, so I'm free to do that. It's possible that you'll never complete the entire Karavan album if you follow the Kami, and vice versa. It could be the main rite givers require positive fame specifically in Kami or Karavan, of which you can't have both. Then again, it may also possible you could flip flop and get both. It may be that doing so will cause you to LOSE a title(/reward?) from the main faction you changed from.

fyi: Zorai has at least 3 working rites. Matis has at least 1. Not sure about Tryker yet.

And a guildie of mine made a good point. If you do a rite for Fyros or Zorai and got some Fyros or Zorai/Kami fame from the missions, this balanced out the parallel rite in the album when you do the rites in Matis or Tryker/Karavan fame. No biggie.
