Easy. Find an amiable lady, take her to Withering's Cities of Intuition area, look for a watering hole, and ask her to stand in it in the buff.vinnyq wrote:I want to see this one, what ever the heck it is

Can even do the 'lady coming out of the waterfall' thing there, too.
Re: Concept Arts
Not on topic but similiar. I found this screenshot at mmorpg.com.
Can anyone tell me what shirt/sleeve set that's from? Also the hat? It's pretty cool...

Re: Concept Arts
O_o is that Ryzom? I know it is a Nevrax picture but nothing on the images says that it is Ryzom as opposed to any other "testbed" minigame Nevrax may have made. Of course the original page probably says something like "Look at this cool picture from Saga Of Ryzom" or something...systemv wrote:Not on topic but similiar. I found this screenshot at mmorpg.com.

But that aside, if it is a Ryzom screey I would guess that its alpha or very early beta stage, and that its a Fyros guy. The pants look *vaguely* like fyros light; the "hat" is actually hair that looks *vaguely* like one of the ones we can have but very few people actually use, but apart from that its all pure guesswork and I'm probably way off. What's the original page its on?

I was hoping to see more "casual" clothes like that... ahh well. Thanks for the response.

Re: Concept Arts
Those were basic armor clothes from beta.

The budget for Ryzom's beta phase was about 4 million Euro, bringing the total investment in the game to 12 million Euro. Now I think spending 1/3 of your budget is more then enough, you simply have to start earning some cash at one point. Its true it wasn't finished when it was released, but when is an mmo really finished? I think it never is ...
During the 10 month beta phase a lot of balancing was done, and some major changes occured in the game play, also, loads of grafics and animations have been changed. During beta a lot of testers were quite worried about some of the changes, but in the end, they improved the game (same happend with patch 1 for example).
The way this game was set up, the sky is really the limit, the number of actions the can add, the number of skill trees they can add and so on .. is pretty much unlimited, thats why this game always will feel a bit unfinished, but in my opinion the 10 month beta phase was more then sufficiant.

Re: Concept Arts
I say it's a bad move because they have lost a handful of loyal players because there was so much lacking content wise in the release, and balacing issues. Now it's probably true that those numbers will be made up as more contents are added and more fresh meats arrived to experience a more and more completed world, but in the end they still have lost a lot of consumers by releasing the game early.
If they had keep with the beta phase and waited a few more months for release (like say the game was released *after* all these recent patches plus outposts), they would have attracted more players and better reviews from gaming critics.
