Right now there aren't any books available (to my knowledge) but there are plenty of guides. Try visiting one of the fansites, I believe most of them have guides up to assist you.

*laugh* I've been telling peopel about this movie for about a year now... It's very similar indeed. It's a very highly recommended movie to watch if you like the Ryzom setting, but it is still very different - so calling it a Ryzom reference may be a bit of a stretch.
