There are silvery grey buildings elsewhere in Atys. And nothing says the Chimney is made of metal. There are things on Atys that let out fire and are not metal. Look at the entrances to Pyr. I will get better screenshots of the hut tonight, from all sides.

There is metal, *points a Karavan TPs, shuttles, etc* it just does occur natually on the plant (planet).

wonders if the smoke comes from the Great Dragon, wonders if the Hut is the Great Dragon myths and legends do have a tendancy of being execrated to the ridiculous.

What is the point of getting to the Kami oasis? Who CARES about that? and Why? The ONLY thing I care about is that bleeding PR spawn spot! Since traveling to this spot is only marginally easier than getting the Cleric Epic weapon in Everquest.

Clearly made of wood, both the building and the chimney stack... Your reference picture makes that quite clear to me, check the grain and lack of gloss.

Well, this discussion has quickly reached the point of uselessness

1) I see no gloss on the small grey/silver building
2) Lead is a metal, lead has no gloss - nor aluminium, nor steel, nor iron... (unless of course, they've been polished, but why the hell would you polish metal to make a small building in an Oasis?)
3) Grain is easily achieved through painting/staining/dyeing
4) Although it's possible to burn wood in a wood enclosure, the thickness of wood required would result in a larger building than that to house a machine with a chimney

To be honest, the materials used for this building make no difference - it is different to every other building in the game, and if you take the time to prove that, you'll see it yourself Plus, is everyone forgetting the fact that it contains a machine, making a noise and some smoke? A machine in the middle of nowhere? And you think it's just another building? Come on, have you lost all your love for the game or what?

So making weapons out of wood would require a great thickness too ? How about armor & weapons ?

I don't think the devs intended for the players to see that so they never bothered to kill the chimney and smoke. After all it is blocked off now and you can't see it using normal means. I also disagree that it's different from other buildings in the game and I will prove it by posting screenshots later.

Vguerin is right, the texture is clearly wood. I will also prove that by posting screenshots of every side of the building very close up.

no triggers or stuff just event thing, we defeathed everything there etc etc scouted the full area nothing there
just the rocks so we just have to wait till the event for oasis goes off
