"every 3rd word" : means he picked out some words; this is
*not* a direct translation
"through Babelfish" : online translators are notoriously bad at translating things correctly, and sending it through 3 times using 3 different languages is bound to screw things up. The fact that it even came out making any sense at all is a miracle...
For example:
Putting "some random text" into a babelfish translator...
English "some random text" -> French "un certain texte aléatoire" -> German "ein bestimmter Zufallstext" -> English "a certain coincidence text"
Hardly an amazing insight is it? In fact, its more of a "coincidence" (gee would you look at that?) that it has the word "coincidence" in it

And that is working with a 3 word sentence using
all of the words, not just every 3rd word.
(Edit: btw since I was bored I did it with a more complicated example which came out even funnier... Tell me if you need more convincing that online translators are not to be trusted when you send things through more than once
