Finding exelent and weather condissions

Post by blogie »

Hello all,

This tray can clarify some mistery's of when you need to look for exelent spots and how/where to finde them.

I'm a low level forager and i look 4 exelent onese in a while but i dont knowe when i sould look for sap or wood by exampel. I dont knowe if lets say moon resin and dung resin ar harvested in the same season.

Maby you expieriancd harvesters can tell me how to finde and when some mats spawn.

all trial and error (and good memory/marking)

a good thing to do is set it a nice 200m search for excellent mats only and metholodically work your way round an area marking where you find them. The downside to this is the fact mos tof the excellent spots are covered in aggro / on an aggro spawn so actually harvesting them is quite something else.

they you gotta factor time of day/weather/season into the equation. you gotta visit sites and mark them appropriatly for when they are available etc. If you lucky you may find the aggro is on holiday the season they are available or if your unlucky like me you will find 50 kincher stood on top of your sources the whole year round.

there really is no easy way bar finding a guide on the net or being in a guild thet has good harvesters who are willing to shot you their spots. A little hard work goes a long way when harvesting, and nothing beats finding a nice spot of high q mats

I found three excel spots yesterday..

but me no tell :D

All very difficult to harvest by your self but possble. Almost no worth the risk in dp for a few extra hit points to my gear.

I have about 30 excellent and supreme sites flagged now, most dont like winter. Some appear only when its raining, some when its fair and a few when its thundery.

Basically spring and summer are the best times to forage, I give up during the winter and go lvl melee and magic.

About half the sites have aggro on them half dont and yes its taken alot of time and patience to find them.

When you travel around you will find spots telling you that there is something but not within this season or at the actual conditions. Mark them an try later again.

when you do find them and work out when they are available its good to flag them to that effect e.g "Motegawood,ex,winter, rain"

then in each season you should have so many you can harvest till your hearts content. Beware though most excellent spots are usually on top og an aggro spawn except a noted few. psst try thesos in autumn for the safest and most well known spot (but you might find its depleted due to it being so well known and useful)

some spots I dont use anymore thought due to them only being max Q50 - 100

north west corner of imperial dunes (3 different spots)
nr goakeths spawn (1 spot)
offolaks oasis is abundent with excellent mats if your willing to put up with cloppers
