Recently my son was making a crossing across PR and was stopped by a Kami guild and told that he would have to disband from his Karavan aligned guild in order to cross. He did so he could cross then rejoined his guild afterwards.
I have enough issues with the whole PVP as it is, but this is going way overboard imo. Fine, do your RP and PVP, but let's be considerate and not on a power/control trip here.
Our guild has not decided on a Karavan/Kami fame yet, and we may never, so my next statement has nothing to do with that, but rather on a more basic level. This guild, and you know who you are, we will not go out of our way and waste our time and energy striking back unless in defence, but you will never receive assistance from our guild and I believe I speak for our allies as well. So good luck and enjoy when your day comes. You have taken this too far and I am sure given enough rope you will hang yourselves.

It was our guild and that is not what happened. First it was not in the roots. He was crossing over from the new portal into Witherings and came up to us. We did not go after him, he did not follow him, we did not approach him, he approached us. He asked to join us (not clear if he wanted to join the guild or the group). We pointed out that we were Kami and he was Karavan and that it probably wouldn't be a good idea for him to join us. We even told him that his mother wouldn't like it. His reply to this was to say the he was his own person and his mother didn't control his actions in game. He then said he didn't care about the guild he was in nor the title. He then took it upon himself to leave the guild and remove the title. We in no way told him, or asked him, or even suggested that he should leave his guild. We in no way told him, or asked him, or even suggested that he change his title either.
I want to make it clear we would never demand anyone to change their alliance, leave their guild, stop talking to people in order to play the game. If you are in the pvp areas we MIGHT attack you. If you are in the non PVP areas we might challange you to a duel. But we are not in the business of forcing people to make extreme choices so they can carry about their normal business.

Highly doubtful. Your actions have proven otherwise imo.

Excuse me? First of all I have never run across you in game so how would you know what actions I have taken? I have never once forced anyone to do anything they do not choose. When it comes to duels 99% of the time the other person challenges me (Doubletap was a rare occurance). Even then I ask them if they are sure they want to do that.I have yet to actually do any pvp in the roots or nexus. The only thing I have done RP wise is killed NPC tribes and use the chat channels to play out my character.
You are now going overboard. You are making statements and spreading misinforamtion concening me and my guild based upon nothing at all. You have accused me of acting a certain way based upon my past actions, now I demand you tell me exactly which actions those are. If you can't then I suggest in the future when you have problems with me, you report me to a GM and let them handle it.

Umm, i think raynes demands satisfaction!

Re: Way Overboard
I really don't find this funny at all. I do like to RP and I love playing a character that most would consider a total wacko extremeist. But when someone accuses me of doing things in game that I haven't done or accuses me of going so far as forcing other players to do as I ask, I have a problem.lariva wrote:Umm, i think raynes demands satisfaction!
And for your information gddss, when your son said that he was 13 and looking for his mother to join her guild, I told the other two with me to let him go. I wasn't going to gang up on some kid trying to find his mother.
Aside from all of that if I want to get your guild pissed at me, I will find you and really cause problems. I don't need a petty cheap stunts like getting a kid to drop his guild to accomplish that.

You may not of run across me in person, but I have ties that apparently you know nothing about.
And get into a list that you will only deny? What is the point of that? As for me spreading misinformation, you have created your own persona, I have had nothing to do with that, good or bad.
And what's a GM gonna do? That's laughable. You say you are doing what you are concerning RP and PVP, I am saying what we are doing. Simple as that. You want RP, you got it. Just as you RP against Karavan guilds, we will not aide or support you because we don't agree with your view. So if you have a problem with that, then you take it to a GM yourself. I am done with this, I've stated my piece.

So, you accuse his guild of something, he gives you his side of the events, you call him a liar (effectively), he askes you for some proof... and you say "what's the point?". Great.gddss wrote:You may not of run across me in person, but I have ties that apparently you know nothing about.

If your going to accuse someone/guild of something infront of the gaming community, it would be nice to see something worthwhile which backs-up your accusations, rather than simple slander.

You've already done this. My son knew nothing about you before this whole situation, so what reason would he have to pull a cheap stunt as you put it?
If you are doing nothing wrong then you should not worry about what I think. My intention was not to drag this out into a knock down drag out fight, but simply to state what my problem was concerning your guild the other evening. If you want to make it a spitting match, whatever. I simply have a problem with the way you do things but have not bothered with anything until it affected our guild. I know you've got to be dying of curiosity so I will take it as far as to say it has to do with the other night and disruptions in trecks.
I will state it like this, you leave our guild and my son alone then we will have no worries and you will see no further posts from me about it. I respect that others play how they want until it is forced upon me and mine. So say what you will, do what you will, just keep us out of it.

Re: Way Overboard
I don't mean to sound rude, and I know this really is not any of my business but:
I've known Raynes through the message boards for awhile now, maybe since release. From what I know about him, he would never take such action. I'm not calling your son a liar, nor am I saying Raynes is being 100% truthful, but I am just stating that my personal experience with him says that he may not be in the wrong here.
I don't have any further knowledge of this situation and my opinion here is in no way biased. I just find it hard to believe that Raynes could be responsible for such an act.
Either way, I think the situation should be set aside and forgotten about. We're all gamers vying for the same goal, and that is to have fun. Bickering won't carry us further and if we can forgive and forget, we can get back to what matters most - cooperating in a friendly community and taking part in a wonderful game that is Ryzom.
It is only my suggestion that the conversation be taken elsewhere as it's probably something the whole community should not be reading anyhow.
Thought I would throw that in there. Sorry to interrupt and I do not intend to get involved in this. Carry on. =)
