Conentration

Can someone actually tell me what this does and its purpose.

As I am a little confused about its description.

If I am casting a L100 spell and I use the correct concentration option, does this mean I am now casting a L125 spell regardless if I am being physically attacked at the time of casting (as it mentions something about interruption which I assume is something to do with with an attack on you).

Hopefully, someone will shed some light on this, thanks.

As I understand it, concentration helps you to stay focused during casting. It reduces the times when the mob attack breaks your incantation. It means your cast is successful more often.

It also reduces the chances of the mob resisting your spell. You must have noticed that higher lvl mobs resist your spells more often than lower lvl ones? Concentration reduces the number of times this happens.

It basically means your spells cast and have effect more often than the basic, unedited, spell would.

I think the level of your spell remains the same but using "Concentration" may prevent your incantation to be broken by an enemy's hit. It doesn't increase the chance that your spell will success on an enemy whose level is far higher than your spell's. May be wrong of course...

First is true. But it only effects you when you get attacked by the mob. As a second line caster there is no need for it.

Second I couldn't verify in my testing. I had the same resist rates with and without conc. And yet I used the highest available version to me. (I think 6 at the time of testing)

So basically it just makes your spells more expensive. Use double missle as soon as you hit 100. Thats a much better choice.

I stopped using concentration, I think it makes the spells too expensive and the chance of a mob hitting me before I get him down is slim to none anyway (root, acid, root, etc) or I team with tank with good taunt and a healer with hp, stam and sap heal.
In all these scenario's I get pretty good xp, btw.

Concentrate is only useful if your a tanking mage or soloing. However as stated above it makes spells very expensive and once you reach level 125 elemental it becomes redundant.

Ah, how painful it is that philu, the first poster, had his answer wrong! to die.....it only helps you concentrate better...
