Not to be an ass or anything but ummmmmm your completly missing the point of what they where posting about and what they where posting on the Saga board...had nothing to do with npc quest's. Raynes is right about posting events about him and others going to kill other NPC camps nothing wrong with that. He just doesnt need to turn it into a huge RP post just needs to make another in the RP section. Its completly ok to post that 20 people are all going to go run mission A:to get X harvested material for Y NPC they just dont need to include there Epic Journy on that thread as there is already another place for it. Im repeating myself so ill stop typing....its very hard

You under the assumption that just because a NPC gives a task to a single player that it's designed for a single player. Well in the case of any of the Karavan Tribes of the Witherings that certainly is not the case. You need a full team to successfully kill all the NPC's in a camp. Take the Master of the Goo tribe, even if you were at level 250, you could not manage to attack the camp and survive.vguerin wrote:Why is an event a simple "task" given out by NPC's for single player. Aside from that it's an event because it's one in a series of activites that is building up to a much bigger event. One where players from both sides of the Kami/Karavan issue will have to participate. I'm not revealing more about that at this time though.
Also, I really don't care what you consider is an event and what you don't. Your opinion on the matter doesn't make the least bit of difference. You can sit here and scream that it's not an event, if Takashi says it's an event, then it's an event.
Plarfman, posting events in the Saga boards does not mean you simply post the name, date, place, and time, then link to another place to talk about it. To prove my point I would like to direct you to read the following threads posted by Takashi and Shadowt, the event managers themselves. Not one of them is written up in the format you talk about. All of them are roleplay descriptions of events that happened.

For your information the first attack on the AntiKamis was announced. The attack on the Goo Heads was not announced because at the time the attack was suppose to take place, they were having problems with the contest. They didn't announce it because they were afraid that there would be 150 players running to the Zora Stables thinking that my event was the contest. A GM apploigized to me for not making the announcement.

Not that I realy care whats posted where as I just enjoy working people up...but those are not really RP posts as the event managers are not responding to your RP actions/storys or whatever you call them. Its one thing to post info in a creative way and another to RP your hate for another faction in a RP war on an event forum.
example:
-The Small elite band of Infinity was seen slaying Trker in ToT for there annual BBQ. We Invite Those who enjoy the taste of Tryker to join us this evening 9pm EST for good times.
-this would be followed by replys such as:
"Tryker taste great count me and Packer3 IN"
as apposed to:
Reply:
"We the karavan supporters of Trker Shall stomp your head in and wage war and ect on you. I hate all of Infinity they are to amazing and Grand for me to imagine"
-these post then turn into bickering in RP form about who is better then who and has nothing to do with the fact that they where simply trying to tell you there was a party going on in ToT.
Dont you think it would be great if we could get the RP section of the Forum active and have some off game story going in a place desighned for it. I know I and my associate have tried. Lets just move the RP to the RP section and Leave events in events. That is why they made two seprate sections ......or at least logic tells me this.
