Post Recipe Requirements Please

Post by pyrrhon »

Would some crafter(s) post the material requirements for the various equipment types so that the clueless like me could know what and how many of each part is required before bothering a crafter. For example, boots need so many stuffing, so many lining, so many armor clip, or whatever. I don't craft so I can't contribute a recipe. Thank You Crafters!

The recipes are more or less generic by item. As you bring it up in quality level, the NUMBER of each item you need gets greater, but its the same components. Things start to get interesting with enhancements though.

But what's the point in us posting all of those recipes here? If a recipe requires ingredient X, would that really discourage you from becoming a crafter? Items drop all over the place from different mobs, so you should be able to find whatever you need to craft that way. If you want to get them via foraging, that's a whole other issue. You can get really good components, but foraging takes a lot of time to become really skilled at.

Just know that you will have to spend plenty of time collecting items one way or another, but that its not impossible. In the beginning you can also buy raw mats from vendors.

Light boots, gloves and sleeves have the same requirements:
2 clothes
2 lining
1 stuffing
1 armor clip

Light vest and pants requirements:
3 clothes
3 lining
1 stuffing
1 armor clip

Magic staff
8 shaft
2 grip
10 magic focus

Those are all I can remember without being in game.

pyrrhon likely wants to know what mats are required so s/he can gather the mats before going to a crafter without having to ask a crafter first.

Gralen, is correct about what I would like! For someone who is for example a fighter planning to order heavy armor from a crafter, what items do I need to collect to take to a crafter. Otherwise the crafter has to explain to every newb like me, OK go get 8 liners, 6 stuffings, 5 dohickeys, etc. Thanks Gralen for the info!! (And thanks in advance to other crafters for posting further recipe requirements!)

This should help you. Be sure to checkout the harvesting guide as well.

Nice work on the list savvy.
I actually wrote a spreadsheet utility to help me figure out costs/sales, calc total mats needed for sets or multiple items of the same. Came in very handy for planning my missions :P After working with it a while I can pretty much determine on sight which missions will give me profit and which will hit me for a loss. Hint: stay away from shield missions.
