Well that's kinda poopie. Soma's fight levels are too low so she's always healer during events and it's great to get the xp without the dp since there was no way to get any loot.

Given that DP was off in most events, perhaps it should have been worked, "Along with the usual non-dp you will now get no xp from event mobs"

No confusion in that line.
