Friends/Enemies in-scene bug

Post by richaden »

A couple of patches ago, all the chat text went white. That was fixed pretty quickly, but a problem remained in that to display things like Homin guild symbols and titles in-scene, the relevant tick-boxes had to be ticked in the 'enemies' section of the in-scene configuration.

Another side-effect of this is that space will target players, whereas before it would only target mobs (in non pvp areas at least), and ctrl+space was used for players.

Its a pain to have to go into the enemies in-scene configuration section and check/uncheck a box to refrersh the in-scene display to see other player's in-scene information.

Is there any word on this? Is it intentional, being worked on, forgotten about? I've not seen anything on the forums lately about it, so just thought i'd politely ask :)

Thanks for any help.

The devs are working on it (bet you didn't expect that reply :D ).
Anyway, it is a known bug.
The last ETA I heard on it was in this patch, but maybe it was a more complex one to solve?

Maybe it'll be in the one next week when they fix the amber cube. :)

If I am not mistaking, there is a setting that one can apply to alter the space and targetting.
One thing I know for sure is that the spacebar is related to the kinds of weapon you are holding in your hand. So when you have a pick there, the target will always be a close source.
May when you have an amp there, the game assumes you are healing and will target players. Not sure with weapons, havent tested that...

Im sorry, but that is not correct.

When harvesting, using spacebar to target a source, can also target a mob, if the mob is closer than the source is. The good part is, that you wont accidently attack the mob, as you cannot fight with picks (would be a nice harvester-feature though ;) )
