well then when i see members of your guild carrying a "karavan champion" i will remember that they are KARAVAN aligned, which i did see the other day in yrk
if you want to pick atys side then don't ever take part in an event or you've picked a side either karavan or kami side.
if you are truly neutral then i challenge you to post your fame screen shot, i'm willing to bet you have POSITIVE karavan fame and NEGATIVE kami fame. now i know i've probly lost you at this point so i'll elaborate, THIS MEANS YOU ARE KARAVAN ALIGNED
thing is as it's been said before guilds like your's wants ALL the rewards and yet NONE of the drawbacks. just pick a side and live with your choice and the consequences that come with that choice

And as was pointed out by someone else, that title had nothing to do with who's side we were on. It was an event simple as that. And I carry the title proudly because it was something that wasn't easy that I participated in and won. As for my fame box, actually they are almost even. The only reason it's not is because we were told incorrectly by a GM that we needed to do faction work to get our guild hall and our guild had discussions on it about doing Kami missions after to adjust anything we messed up. But regardless of that, even with all the peoples explanations, you miss the whole purpose and definition of a nuetral guild. And if anything, being nuetral is what has it's drawbacks not all the rewards simply because we have to put up with attitudes such as this. And again I will say, who says we HAVE to choose a side of Karavan or Kami? Might as well choose to be racist as well, but we refuse to conform just because some people think if they scream loud enough they can control what others do. In fact, someday we may choose to engage and take the Kami or Karavan side, but that will ONLY be because we have taken the time and knowledge amongst ourselves and felt we have made the wisest and most informed decision as possible in doing so, not because of pressure from others. So for now and who knows how long, this is how we choose to play.

First off PVP is not a war and cannot be treated as such. A war can be "won" but no matter how many times you kill people in Ryzom they will survive. So all it is really is a huge bloodbath, and trust me its fun now and then after awhile it gets tiring.
So what is PVP it's player vs. player in other words it is a game and any "Good" game needs rules. You've already proven you can do this with the harvester rule. The fact that the PvP zone is in the way of travel is a big
Look i've seen what happens when PvP gets out of hand I survived Ultima Online. The strong butcher the weak and people who don't want any part of it get tired and leave.
At this point I'm going to say that those of us who are unhappy with this petition Nevrax. They seem to have made a mistake with zoning.

Very interesting reading, since I see my guild in several pages of this discussion.
How best to go about explaining this, with as little confusion as possible, basicaly I am the most outspoken individual anyway.
Roleplaying.. good question there, well, all members of the Pegasus Foundation can choose to roleplay or not, this is an individual choice currently, not a guild one. The guild stance is for the unity of Hominity, all races together against the common cause to kill Kittin.
I guess you can call that the guild stance on things.
Believe it or not, we are over 150 members strong (pimp guild, that was funny, if we are a pimp guild, alot of you still owe me dappers...)
We don't care if people do Karavan junk, Kami junk, or just what ever junk.
To that end, we have people who enjoy to roleplay there alliegence, thats there choice, so thus, we have people who have nearly perfect Kami fame, and we have people who have nearly perfect Karavan fame, and we have yet other people, who farnkly have the exact same fame that was given to them at the time they created there character, and the only thing modifing there global fame is the guild fame modification.
I got fed up with the bullocuracy going on so I washed my hands of the kami/karavan thing, it was fun, I enjoyed the roleplay, but dang it all you people take things to seriously and it ruined the game for me.
Will a Kami freak out on me when I enter the Nexus and blast me to oblivion, although my weapon was only drawn in defense of creatures on my way to a harvest spot? Probably.
Will a Karavan freak out on me when I enter the Nexus and blast me to oblivion, although my weapon was only drawn in defense of creatures on my way to a harvest spot? Probably.
Will a Neutral Peon freak out on me when I enter the Nexus and blast me to oblivion, although my weapon was only drawn in defense of creatures on my way to a harvest spot? Probably.
What I choose to do about it from that point won't be pretty.
I tried, with Raynes, to open the door to more Roleplayers to wake up and get involved, because frankly, the Kitin are boring, and the Raid system group layout, frankly is broke, hands down, horrible design.
I do not have a title of either Kami Champion nor do I have a title of Karavan Champion, I could have made it to either event from start to finish and got it, I opted not to, I started to on the first event in BB, but backed out when I discovered the intent.
I am an Elder of Atys, and I hold THAT title high, and the Elders are mentioned in the storyline.
Personally, I am just harvesting and creating the best weapons / armor I can for all homins.
For those who know about today, I have a supprise for you tomorrow.

I like how Zumwalt worded his post. Unlike some of the people posting here and not understanding what has been said regarding not choosing a side, Zumwalt seems to understand perfectly. He has specifiically avoided taking part in any events that, if you paid attention to the story line that was presented with the event, would have made him biased either Karavan or Kami. I applaud what Raynes and him have tried to do. I find it unfortunate that Zumwalt has been driven out of this attempt due to the far to serious nature that has become common in this discussion. Hopefully his post will make more people understand what it takes to be true Neutral.

then it's simple you have chosen a side, you are karavan aligned, your character is karavan aligned.
also you can't possible have "almost even" cause they are like yin and yang, one goes up the other goes down. if you have -50 kami fame then you have 50 karavan fame
see thing is i DO understand what a neutral guild is, unfortunately you don't, to be neutral you CANNOT participate in events because then you've chosen a side either karavan or kami. you can't do any missions or gain any fame because you've picked a side. to be a nuetral character in ANY rp game is the hardest alignment to play because everyone picks a side no matter what.
thing is you are wanting to be part of the karavan and yet suffer none of the penalties that are associated with being a karavan follower. honestly you and anyone else that thinks they are neutral had better give their head a shake, the ONLY ones that are anywhere close to being nuetral are the ones that have 0 personal fame for ALL RACES AND TRIBES
so i ask you again to post your fame screenshot, only reason you wouldn't is because our point of you've picked a side and want all the rewards and none of the drawbacks is 100% true

I'm very much in agreement with you. When I read about the new event all I thought was "oh joy another Kitin attack, yawn". I like the word you came up with "bullocuracy". It fits things so well. But just like in real life where I don't put up with or deal with BS, I don't deal with it in game. I am a paying customer and I am going to play the game as I want. If I want to view PF as a Karavan guild, I am going to. If I want to run through the roots killing harvesters, I am going to. If other players dont like it, ignore me or report me to a GM. I've grown tired of the debate over what is acceptable and what isn't. If it's allowed by the TOS and within the design set forth by the devs, then its acceptable. End of story.

WRONG.
If you run individual race missions you can often suffer a nice hit to your kara/kami fame line at 4-1 or 5-1 per action without an offset to the other faction. As such, it is very possible that you have done absolutely nothing to the kami/karavan directly, yet in attempting to run missions to open up the racial encyclopedia they have chosen a side for you - not a particularly well designed 'feature' of the fame system. It is not at all hard to end up with both factions roughly even albeit both slightly negative.

You obviously have no clue about my character and have not bothered to read my posts.

Umm first of all I do not have access to screenshots atm, second I would not just because you demanded it, my boss demands things from me, not you. Second, get a life. Seriously, people are getting way to worked up over this. If I wanted this kind of attitude and zealousy, I would go to church. This is a game and people should relax and it's attitudes like this that make that difficult to do and just enjoy the game.
Thex, it's obvoius not all people share the same views and perceptions which I have pointed out. Just because you say it's this way does NOT make you right. I respect the fact that others like to RP, some like to PVP, some like to solo, some like to group. It's all about how we like to play. What I don't respect and think is a real problem are people with these strong self needs to control and ruin everyone else fun because they do not have the same respect others show them.

Oh but don't you know, you are supposed to know these things. You are supposed to know how every single little thing you do affects all your factions. No worries about intentions or learning here. You did it and you now have a side and that's all that counts, right? Got to pick a side ya know!!
*snnniiiiiffff* Can you smell the sarcasm here?
