Weapon enchantment drains my sap in addition to sap load
Weapon enchantment drains my sap in addition to sap load
According to the manual, when casting a spell from a weapon, it should drain the sap load of the weapon, NOT the caster's sap. However, I find that it drains the caster's sap AS WELL as the weapon's sap load. Is this how it is intended? Or is this a bug?
Re: Weapon enchantment drains my sap in addition to sap load
If you right click - INFO on the weapon you will see an action cost associated with using the spell off of the weapon. So I would assume that the slight action cost is intended. After all you are getting a spell that is zero time and no fail, so some slight cost should be expected.lorgerol wrote:According to the manual, when casting a spell from a weapon, it should drain the sap load of the weapon, NOT the caster's sap. It's true, but that's not what the manual says. Therefore, I must ask the question:linze wrote:If you right click - INFO on the weapon you will see an action cost associated with using the spell off of the weapon. is this intended, and changed since the manual went to print, or is this a bug?

Intended. Otherwise warriors could be mages without any on the disadvantages of a mage. Spam spells which wearing heavy armor and dodging mobs.
Also, while the manual does not say that you need your own sap, too, it does also not say that you do NOT need your own sap, too. It simply doesn't mention this aspect.

Re: Weapon enchantment drains my sap in addition to sap load
I'm afraid you are wrong. If you check the current version of the American/English manual that you can get from the Ryzom site, it's still in there. Page 51, last paragraph. In fact, it's the last but one sentence in the entire manual.shrike wrote:Intended. Otherwise warriors could be mages without any on the disadvantages of a mage. Second, they will not drain Sap from your pool; they will instead drain sap from the weapon pool.
