With 2 harvesters that solo I can get more then that. Its not effective to care for someone else. I tried that many times. The only advantange of a duo is that its a bit more relaxing. And you both get less XP.

Light armor, tools and amp = 95 bulk for me, leaves 205 = 410 mats (if you wondered why I ask for 400 mats)

So basically we don't disagree you just exagerated a bit with your first claim.

But the point I was making was I find it difficult to get bored of doing anything (other than work IRL) in 35 mins.

As for effectiveness of having a carer and not....

I dig constantly without risk with a carer, solo I find I am less effective, distractions like have to stop digging to chat extra.

I personal think 5 extra ql170 > 9 ql50 mats

I play the game to be social .... given the choice of 1.2k xp and company vs 2.2k and solo .... I would rather not have the XP.

I dug in the fount for 800xp just to stay social vs 2.2k in Lorai!

I dig for the mats not the XP. Harvesting is a necessary evil.

That is the great thing about guild, region chat and tells. You don't need to stand right next to the person you are talking to. =)

Hopefully the following advice will improve the world of harvesters, promote team work and lower the prices of equipment.

How to dig regardless of level:

Sub lvl 20 with propect

- prospect for a higher level harvester and get them to dig you sources till you hit lvl 20.

become a full time carer for a higher level harvester.

still power leveling ... if there is something I hate, its ppl asking to be powerleveled.

i personally like a little slave.

and there is a point. when i have a carer i get 9 mats without 7/8 and im sure i will not get explosions or gass clouds. you see my way of digging needs a carer simple as that.
and yes you can talk to each other in region blablabla but its also nice to have the actual character there next to you. i mean otherwise they should not have bothered making characters that can be seen by other players.
about the powerlvling. well i say let each player decide what he likes most. and when someone cares they are earning there lvls as they should only a bit faster

Funny... so to be social, MSN would do? I don't believe that. I have cared for higher levels than me. Didn't I know I got good XP. Yes, I did and I loved it. As a lowby, I find I would get at least 90% of that XP by just digging myself. So I guess there must be something else I like about it. Maybe I just like to be on the helping side. Maybe, being social is not just chatting.

Actually yes. Harvesting just gives me something to do while I wait for the other sides response.

If I want to be really social and helpful in a game playing aspect I go on trips / hunts. Or stand around the stables and have a laugh with the people around there.

But I think its up to everyone how he want to be social or not. If you need another char to stand next to you to have a social feeling thats fine. I don't.

But we are far far away from the original topic so lets just leave it at that and go to sleep now =)
