Guild Fame

Post by gddss »

We are wondering what the issue is with buying our guild hall. We tried to buy but were told that the Tryker people had to believe that our guild fame had to be 0, which it is. I am wondering if it has to do with our Matis guild fame of 2 being higher than our Tryker fame of 0. Our Tryker guild fame is now 1 since we have been working on it this evening, but still no go. Anyone know about this or what the fame requirements need to be?

Not sure what issue you are having. But just to be sure is the leader the person trying to buy it? IIRC only the leader can do so.

yea the guild leader is buying it, we had no idea that fame was associated with the buying of the guild hall. in looking through the manual i see no indication that fame was attached to the "buying of a guild hall" we are a multiracial guild and have not worked much on fame as i know it is going to be complex.

Now we find out that we need fame missions. Well okay, that is okay but when we contacted the gm they were not very helpful.

But now if there is any specific info anyone is willing to share with us that would be helpful. we busted our butts to get the dappers to do this and were very dissappointed when we could not achieve our goal.

We have been told to do the missions that are kills, the ones that the npc says they will be "grateful" or "very grateful". Plus to do some delivery missions.

thanks,

I have never heard of fame being an issue when it comes to buying a guild hall, but it doesn't suprise me. Too many players have been only focusing on getting levels and upper thier character stats and pretty much ignoring the fame system. I mean what good does it do if you have slayed 1000's of animals yet no one has heard of you?

The GM didn't help you anymore because there is no more to tell. You have two ways to build guild fame, tasks and Killing NPC tribes. Any mission you do will give you fame. There are no shortcuts, no ways to quickly boost fame. You and your guild are just going to have to spend sometime getting the tribes and races to trust you.

1. nothing, i never said it did.

2. guild fame atm is worthless. later it will probably have some influence, but not yet at least.

I don't think this is right but we shall see as we are working on guild fame now to see if it works. We will keep trying to buy it as our points raise. From looking at the colors on the fame box, I am guessing it will need to be around 20. We will post our results here.

Isn't that the truth. The GM didn't even know if it was a bug or not.
