who gives the karavan story 1 rite? :) ingame email/tell me... thanks.. this will answer the question if it's only the capital barmen that give rites... i think it has a lot to do with the level of a certain player that affects each of the barmen, just like levels/fame affects when mission are given at different cities and/or NPC tribes
In response to the ignorant players out there:

I have more heart than anyone would know :) I will let you in on a little secret... I am doing this for my newborn daughter... no one else... I like that game, but I do not have the time anymore. My first priority is to my daughter. End of story.

Wouldn't it be a tad more efficient if we were told by the Barmen what we pre-requisites we need? I mean, there should be a list of each rite a Barman has. Once selected, we should either be able to complete it, or be told we need this amount of fame, or this amount of skill. It doesn't make sense to create the whole rites missions around a complex guessing game of "have I leveled enough yet?"

This may be unfounded, but would it be possible to put together a list of the Rites with known bugs that either don't allow you to get the prerequisites, get the Ritual Giver, or the final completion and recieve the item. Obviously the chest of wisdom one, is the most commonly known bugged Rite. There are obviously many others, and it might help people to avoid attempting to waste their efforts in trying these Rites if they cannot be completed.

Just a suggestion.

Out of curiousity, last night, I did the Barmen gig for the 'chest of knowledge' or something like that.

Anyway, each stop, on my compas, I had the destination of who to see next, like newbie lands when you had to go see X about Y.

After I got to the last piece, I had to do a deliver missions, took it, but it didn't set anything on my radar, but I knew where to go, so I did it, returned, and finished, it says I got a cube, nothing showed up in my Encyclopedia *shrugs*

I then went back to the Barman, and he gave me a detailed Rite mission for Magestic Gardens, had the person I needed to talk to for the 3 pre-requisites and the person I needed to see for the rite.

The only thing it lacked was targeting on radar the person I needed for each step.

I'll probably know more this weekend, but I assumed that by what Cerest had posted, that something was different in how the barman gave information, am I missing something?

Trykerville barman: did the opening rite then went to the Intendant and got 2 missions sets, which I've done the foraging one and completed it. Went back to the Sage, the Intendant and the Barman - nahdah.

My highest stats: melee = 70, magic = 81, craft = 74, forage = 100
Fame:.......global...personal...guild...civil
Tryker...........95...........57......22.....16
Karavan.........24...........12.......4.......8
Corsairs........100...........52.....19......66
Silt Sculpters.100...........24.....11......83

I've also gone around to all the rite givers I know in Liberty Lakes and Winds of Muse and still no additional rite missions. Can anyone give me a hint of what I'm missing to get more rites or is this all you can get at the moment in Adean Aqueous?
pps: 3 of us went out last night and did 8 missions for the Karavan and got 1 point towards fame. Zach and Zeke would be so proud of the complexity of these missions. :p

I've found rites givers who have given specific hints as to why they won't give me a mission. For example one told me I wasn't 'brave' enough, which I took to mean I wasn't high enough in melee. Sure enough, I mentioned it to a guildie who has melee 190 and he talked to the guy and got the mission.

Not saying this is true in all cases, but sometimes you have to think sideways a bit to figure out what they're telling you.

Personally I prefer it this way, as it makes you think about what's going on, rather than being spoonfed the info you need, otherwise everyone would complete the rites in a week and then complain there's not enough content :-)

Ah! Would that I could get that much of a hint!! All I get is the "who are you" selection.

Barman rite mission is broken, after I get to the rite giver (barman again after doing all the premission junk) he tells me to speak to a chick behind atalae.

After I talk to her she gave me this neck piece to use at sundown on the hill north of the arena.

Well, I get there, it says something about sparkling, and i get a special spot on my radar, I go there and there is no resources, I have to harvest 3 different resources, no matter how many times I do this, with letting the timer run out, no resources ever show up, I even tried to prospect at the spot, and nothing is there.

Is there something I am missing? Or is it just broke in general.
