If anyone has a problem with one of my members training agro on them send me a tell and this matter will be taken care of.

If you wanna train someone be a man/woman and challange them to a duel or head to the PVP areas and go at it.

I could not agree more, and PF will join in this. The only time I think training is at all acceptable is IF the GMs have not dealt with someone who does this repeatedly AND there is no other way the community can think of to deal with the offender. With the GMs we have and the Community we have I cannot see how intentional training on a person could ever be ok.

I agree that the fix would be to make meks about as tough as wild meks are, a system like the packers with higher priced mounts being high HP and regen. I would make dismounting less than a second, as an experienced (but not seasoned) horsewoman I know that in a situation of life of death, you can come off that horse MUCH faster than you can get on (a second would not be an exaggeration).

I would also like to see Mektoub mounts and packers have the good sense to detect the level of the mob and either "run to safety" (with a choice of locations OR nearest safety; water, guards or to a stable and enter it). Not sure that the devs are that familiar with Horses, donkeys, or mules, but...they are VERY smart, much more so than most humans give them credit for. And they WILL defend if they think they stand a chance, or if young are nearby, if not, they are MORE than able to "high tail it outta there".

If I thought that my mount was more than a piece of tissue paper in the shape of a mektoub, I might actually joy ride. If I thought that my mount would run or self defend, OR I could heal it...then I would ENJOY him. As it is, he was a grift, from a guildmate I respect, I would not disrespect this guildmate by KILLING her gift. So I rode him around the area, up to the trainers, dismounted, trained and rode him back to the stable, where he sits.

In FFXI no mob agros you on a Chocobo I believe. This solves the griefing problem with mounts. I don't believe it will be to much of a problem in Ryzom though. Mount food costs a pretty penny for those stuck in CoI. This means they won't do it. The food is also incredibly bulky so that means we aren't going to waste our space carrying food to keep running around far from a stable where we could buy more.

Just for information's sake. Training mobs on other people/towns repeatedly and with intent to do harm to the other people/towns IS against the rules. Anytime this is seen please report it to the GMs immediately so that they may take steps to stop it.

How about changing the mobs AI so that they stop pursuing you if you get too far away from their hunting grounds? As I understand right now it's such that once they're after you, they'll follow you three laps around the planet or to the moon and back. Which doesn't make much sense, if ragus don't live in the desert, why would they follow a prey into the desert? (But correct me if I'm wrong, I lack the means to test this.)

Mobs do give up, most of them at a quite resonable distance. There are however some that are so fast that even a mount won't be able to make them leave combat... ragus / kipesta / etc.

Perhaps mobs could leave combat earlier if their prey is mounted, so people don't end up with a train everytime they go for a ride?

I'm also curious as to why a mob won't re-agro someone else when it's left combat and is walking the long way back to it's 'original' spot?

I think using other players unwillingly or unkowingly as 'test subjects' is wrong to. Ironic how I hear you talk about this Xcom, when to 'prove a point' to a gm you did this to one of Perrako's friends and got him killed. It's heresay and I won't kill you for that reason. You gave me plenty of reason to hunt you at Perrako's wedding.

Because you're to afraid to move into a pk zone? I never said I'd do it honorably.
