They are still taking my money (and yours) while they struggle to keep to promises that are an implicit part of the Ryzom contract. They are now in breach of that contract.

I've kept giving it one more week, but I don't know how long that can last. I will make my point to the devs (if they ever get our messages) but on my own it means nothing.

1-
Its a MMORPG, and as every MMO, the game evolves with time.
I take it you have never had experience with a MMO before?
Otherwise, you'd be used to the buggy patches, the silent nerfings, and all the delays.

2-
No they are not, you obviously have not read the EULA.

3-
That is entirely your choice to make, even though you'll face the same "problems" with other MMOs

4-
Yes I am, because I see the enjoyable side of the game, while you seem not to, anymore.

Anyways, all these points now answered, I wish you a nice experience with whichever MMO you'll try next, hope you have a good time there :)

There are some who love the game and will never leave.
There are some who stay for a while
There are some who find the game is not for them afterall and leave

In the end as old players die, new ones are born.

The strongest warrior has not yet entered the game,
The greatest crafter has still to pick up his tools,
The most persistent harvester hasn't yet walked the lands of Atys,
The bravest Hero is still to come

As there is life, there is death

The game is eternal, if it be taken away from us, fear not
it still exists in our hearts and minds, for we are the Saga of Ryzom.

Ive done the emotion swing on Ryzom, I even quit for a couple of weeks but the content that I have been waiting for is slowly going in and tbh theres plenty for me to still do, I havent reached the elemental spells. I havent solo'd a Tarbuk, I havent reached high quality on armour and weps, ive only explored 40% of the world and on and on.

I know some ppl power level, I dont, Im not powerlevelling 1 piece of hvy armour to reach q150 as I did that on q100 and found I couldnt craft the others up to the same. So now Im levelling everything while giving a bit more effort in one thing, its gonna take me longer but Im not in the game for a few months, I played Planetside from May 2003 until Dec 2004 and look how much that game changed in design and content (ok not all for the better).

Take a break, have a kitkat and come back in 3 months if you fancy it.
If you want to get the devs attention, ticket it in game but be constructive, I was and they listened.

Sorry to see you go. I played Horizons from release until they decided to merge the servers patiently waiting for alot of things to be implimented because i beleived the game had great potential but beleive you me the standard set by Nevrax is far far higher. I too am eagerly awaiting the outposts and really hope they fix the rites real soon. I get more feeling of hope in SoR, rapid in game support etc and hope you may not be jumping out of the frying pan into the fire...Good luck.. maybe see you back some day :)

I have to admit on several occasions recently I have logged in, sighed and logged straight back out again if a bunch of people I usually play with haven't been online. Simply put, if I am not with a good team then there's really nothing that makes me want to play solo at all, no real mission structure and exploration solo at any level < 100 seems to be just an excercise in generating DP.. Especially with magically teleporting mobs that are almost impossible to get away from. All that really seems to be on offer is grinding, and since I was also in way back at open beta that's gotten kind of old by now. Same reason I stopped playing SWG really!!

I keep mentioning Guildwars - It may not be a true MMO in some respects, but for an example of decent mission structure it certainly has got something right, and from what I hear WoW has something similar.. I'm not saying Ryzom won't have good mission structure eventually but it really doesn't right now.

euhm the missions in guildwars are well.... follow the path pick this up kill that smash this and run over there click on a switch run there kill that kill here blablabla and in the end you get a kind of crappy cinematic. for me it sounds the same as the missions in ryzom as they are but you dont get a crappy cinematic at the end.

what im trying to say is. missions do not make a mmo good. they add to the fun of those whitout an imagination.(haha ignore this sentence)

and im not saying this because i think ryzom is better then gw because im planning to play both.

anyway i hate comparing games. unless i want to piss someone of to have a laugh :P
