If you have to supply 200 mats I wouldn't call that free =P. A normal jewel set takes 31 seeds and 29 ambers.

You are of course right, nothing is really free, although I have had some takers already. But are you offering to make a full q140 set if we supply 31 seeds and 29 ambers?

I cannot find the part where Sky here uses the word "free" when he actually means: in exchange for a big load of mats and the xp I will earn. Where you, my dear marketeer, did use the word "free".

But please do tell me if I am overlooking some obvious fact about "free".

Its quite simple really ....

At lvl 50 the jewel tree splits.

if you level just one branch ..... you are going to get huge fail rate on the other trees.....

Sky needs loads of mats because the gap between main tree and sub trees is wide. She doesn't say free, she even say 'try' because even with that volume of mats there is no guarantee ..... at ql80 jewels the fail rates are fine.... I respect any jewel who supplies to customers above ql100.

It would be a personal nightmare to level earings to lvl 100+

Give this crafter a break .... pay him in mats (crafters dream) ..... I think he didn't mean to con anyone .....

Crafters have a rough enough time as it is ... fails, mat supplies, tells, etc. They do however get the benefit of hugh amount of dappers and the ablity to make great equipment.

With the wear rates on jewels, we will need more of them..... and more suppliers means lower prices.

3 times the required mats is not that much of a issue .... especially if his other branches are still very low.

I personally only know of only two 'out of guild' high lvl jewellers....both of which are very nice and very rich.....

I took up Tembers offer and very glad i am too.

As a lvl 100 forager, you just can't get enough focus. With Tembers jewels, i can now forage using all of the focus draining stanzas you can get at lvl 100.

I think i'm using 150 focus per cycle at the moment.

So, call this a recommendation!

Neun, I know, I can craft jewels at about lvl 70 now, in one branch only. Also am I crafting lvl110 heavy armor, a tree split there also.

drcole22, as a lvl104 lake forager, I use about 1500-1600 focus for a source that gives me 9 or 10 of lvl110. My total focus is 1800, so a little too much prospecting will cause a drain.

People, I know, I know. It is just the word "free", but no more from me, but happy customers from Trenker will be more into place, no?

Whats wrong with using the word free if that is what he is doing? He is providing his talents and time as a crafter FREE, this has intrinsic value and should justify his use of the word. Sure he gets a side benefit of some exp in crafting but speaking from experience I know that I can raise my levels in Jewel Crafting quicker if I ignore everyones requests and harvest-craft-discard but that would make for a boring game where you don't meet other people. But I digress. What I dont understand is people that knock people's legitimate use of a board designed to advertise their services, If it was just a once off I would ignore it but really annoys me is people that knock others and then post their own advert at the same time while asking for mats and thinks their absence of the word free justifies it.
