friday night kitin invasion progress

on the tryker side, we could not make it to the heart of the kitin camp

at one point there was wave upon wave of kincher attack upon us, we moved ahead maybe 50 meters between waves, it was very intense. in the end a 3 wave attack crushed our forces to death. we are reasonably certain we know where the camp is, as the waves of kitin could be seen coming for 500 yards , out from the camp

we also got a whack more soldiers made because of all the back and forth between camps to get people behind and to regroup etc. was definately making a difference out there. all the guard towers are populated and all the camps have probly 50 soldiers in each. the trek from craft-fight camps was literally aggro free on our lass pass, those guards are really working now i guess hehe

when a guard group is made now, it heads off in the direction of the kitin camp, but we died on our last attempt to stick with them and see where they were going

Homins Be Warned!

The Kitin have furthered their presence in our lands. They have created the beginnings of a camp in each invaded territory. They seem to be setting up for another assault but they will have a nearby camp now to supply reinforcements! We must put a halt to this! The progress on their camps seems slow, so they will likely be building it through the night. The karavan and Kami representatives have told us that for some time this evening, the penalty of their ressurecting homins will be lifted. They say that they cannot provide this protection through the night, but will hold out as long as they can. In exchange for this, they are asking that every able homin help in equipping the soldiers for your race. Tomorrow we will push forward into the camps, but today our forces are far too slim! As you equip more soldiers, they will defend towers on a path leading towards the location of the expected kitin camp. The time to act, homins, is now! Craft hard homins, and harvest well!


im wondering whats going to happen tomorrow then? we werent supposed to go for the camp tonight at all? sure glad we got all them packages in at least hehe

Wow! that sounds really neat.

To what extent we in matis where succesfull at building up the gaurds I dont know but we certaintly dont have a line of outposts leading to the kitin camp full of gaurds. Way to go trykers!

As a matter of fact we dont have much of anything. Seems it is the same as the second day of the event.

I am quite aggravated that our combined package making efforts in matis have failed to produce any noticeable change.

Some might say that thoose packages produced so far are what got us to where we are now (outnumbered and underpowered). The only change any have seen along the front lines in matis has been in the craft camp.

While the craft camp has filled and emptied of guards (once it was even over run with kitin and then all of a sudden all the powerfull kitin died. Mini nuke from the karavan I am guessing) has anyone actually seen one guard spawn at the war camp and walk to the craft camp. For all we know the gaurds at the craft camp are just lazy and didnt want to go to work the first day they were supposed to.

Or maybe the new guards that are created get orders to go defend such and such but once arriving at the warcamp they take a look around and decide to run away to some secret spot deep in the knoll of discent. Presumably the gaurds are waiting on the karavan to nuke the knoll of dissent like they did the craft camp.

Wait a moment I know whats actually going on with the new gaurd units. The new gaurd units are actually mailmen. Yes, matis royal mailmen soliders ordered to bring news from home to the poor guards trapped at the harvest camp. The problem is they dont seem to have been told where the harvest camp is.

Don't worry though the mailmen are fine out amongst the deadly kitin who hate all homin. You see the mailmen are armed with secret mailman evading skills. These special skills allow the matis mailmen soliders to walk effortlessly past elite warrior kinchers even if some times the kincher has to move out of the mailmans way.

Without the skills of mailmen soliders you may be worried about the guards at the harvest camp. Don't worry they are just fine. The kitin seem to find it humours that we placed our resource camp so far into enemy territory and not to be ones to miss a good roar are pleased to allow the small detachment of 20 gaurds to remain in the unproductive camp.

While the mighty mailmen guild of matis wanders pointlessly somewhere in the knoll of dissent it seems that the kitin are building a camp. hmm, I wonder why the mighty kitin army in the knoll of dissent needs a camp. Maybe the kitin commanders got together and where thinking about what would happen if they attacked. Perhaps the kitin high command is thinking something like this "Well we have 100s more kitin in the knoll of dissent then there are homins in the forest perhaps we need to build a kitin resort so the troops have something to do when the battle is over."

One more thing before I end this silly post.

Can I sign up for matis royal guard training. I mean wow! Compared to how much time and effort it takes for my blockhead character to figure out how to swing a sword or dig in the dirt these royal gaurds are geniuses.

Am I way off base here or do others feel like they just wasted there time turning in packages? Irregardless, we will crush the kitin.

In Fyros, there has been a lot of changes. Guardsare scattered throughout the lands. As to Matis not being changed much, I don't know as I haven't been helping out there. I do know one of my guildmates went over there and found that the kitins there are severly underpowered compared to what we have in Fyros. She was taking on 6 at a time there of the same type that 2 would severely hurt her in Fyros. She started comapring levels of the mobs with the same names. She found that Matis have it easy. This is not a complaint or a bashing. I'm just pointing out what the evidence shows. Want a real fight, come to Fyros...

Goto the Ichor spawn in matis thats where the tuffys are and when it comes for lookingn for a "boss" or something we have to treck like 1-2k to get there.
where fyros have nice and easy dyron right in the middle of it all to run to.

aye, same with tryker, the kitin camp must be, oh, 2 km from the harvest camp.

we never even saw it, but we know we were close, the closer you get, the more wicked and fast the waves of kitins come at ya

All i know is that Daveron in Fyros is over run with kitins. With the faith and help of the kami, my partner and I managed to trek from Pyr to Daveron. We were not sure that we could complete this journey, but we hoped to find materials and an adventure.

We were surprised that the kitin were so numerous. However, we were completely dissappointed that there were only the city guards present in force to keep the enemy at bay.

We had thought there would be many to aid in this battle and were at a loss of what to do, for we are still naive in the ways of the mighty fyros warrior traditions.

We camped with in the city for 1 day and 2 nights. I was heart broken that our bravest warriors were not present. In desperation, we left that city swearing to improve our skills and return to fight one day

Yet, the thought occured to me that if the forces of the city fall the kitin will begin to march across our desert lands and destroy many lives. I fear the kitin will come to me before i can go to them.

Good luck to all those fighting the enemy invaders in all our lands.......

Once the end-game was sounded and Kipuryk spawned a call was made out across the land. A motley band of warriors, nukers and healers transported from land to land and dealt the final blow. Then the Kitin withdrew to the darkness where they raised from. The federal guards then disassembled their camps and went home to their spouses and families that had been waiting for their safe return. Those of us that remained, standing in the middle of the battlefield couldn't escape the feeling of emptiness. What will we do now?

Guess some will be nursing their Carpal-Tunnel Syndrome from collecting and turning in 4,800 claws so they could show off their collection of the top reward from each race (it wasn't that hard once you figured out that all the lowbie Elites in Matis dropped 40 claws each).

But the camps we worked so hard to clear are gone... the guards we worked so hard to clothe and equip are gone. The Kitin that taunted us, kept us up at night and forced us into retreat so many times are gone.

I guess I was expecting an epic battle worthy of sharing around campfires or with a grandson unpon my knee (what a scare he'd get when I jolted him and dropped my knee when I came to the part when the Kitin jumped up out of the ground!). I guess I was expecting the federal guards to form ranks and cut down the patrols while we made our way to the enemy's lair. I guess I was expecting a ticker-tape parade when I returned to Fairhaven. Something. Something besides this empty feeling I have now.

I didn't mean to steal anybody's sense of accomplishment or glory. Many a homin did contribute countless hours of time, millions of dapper and their lives to drive the Kitin from our lands. Maybe we should erect a statue in their honor as a placeholder in time so we don't forget their sacrafice. And to those who came to our aide in our greatest time of need, seeking not fame or glory or property, I commend you on a battle well fought. Once again we are in your debt.

I'm disappointed too. What was the purpose of the whole event, and why were we creating guards? The guards didn't help one bit. After spending so many hours at the camps... We, the players, just strolled in and wiped out the kitin. It seems like our efforts were pointless.
