Just Came Back - What's With My Appearance?

Hey all, I just came back last night after leaving a week or so post-launch.

First off I wanted to thank all the players who've helped me get re-equipped, namely Xcomvic and Basic ^_^

However, I did notice a problem - my two characters had a HUGE change in appearance. My Matis gained arms like a tree-trunk and legs like a twig, and my Tryker's torso apparently hit the max setting and his arms were even more twig-like than my Matis's legs.

Well, I'm a perfectionist, so after being told by a GM that nothing could be done to fix this, I had my items muled and have since restarted my character...

My only question is - how did this happen? Has anyone else ever experienced something as crazy as this?
