It sounds like the Witherings is in the same boat on our server. Aeden Aqueous is faring a little better, however. There's a few guilds doing their best but we don't have many high level fighters so it's been very slow going.

Not that I want one of our cities to be overrun, however, I do hope that if we don't fight off the invasion, there is some price to be paid. Otherwise, it kills any urgency on future invasions.

If they were that drastic, however, and the kitins overran a city (until, perhaps, they were pushed back in another event), I think it would damage the players in the underpopulated regions. I think a lot of the regions that aren't getting a major response are the underpopulated ones. Zorai have always seemed to be less populated and Trykers are still behind from when a lot of people abandoned them when the game first went live. Taking one of their cities would, i think, reinforce the problem.

the problem is not the population there, the problem is ****ty placement ^^
the camps in tryker are in the bounty beaches, most trykers i know talk of the bounty beaches as the region that is worse than all the roots combined, nvm the fact that it takes 15 minutes to get there
in zorai you have slightly similar things, camps in places where noone knows of, one camp right next to a bandit camp and the other is surrounded by kinchers that are not event kitins

well, i tend to agree with Xeno on this one, logically, camps in wars, are at the back, not the front line

they placed the camps at the front lines

Each camp should be in a safe, easy to get to area of every land.

No general in there right mind would erect a camp at the front lines, posts yes, outpost yes, camps he'double L' no.

They want to have lower levels participate and also have higher levels, right now, the camps are no where feasable in any sense of the word, for all levels to participate.

The event was 'sorta' though out, it has a goal.
The 'placement' of the camps was not thought out.

For instance, the camps should be easily accessable by everyone any level so they can work on the objective day or night, solo or in groups.

I am just taking the event in stride, we have no control of the lack of knowledge on wars in this game, and its just a game.

Well, now that we are starting to figure this event out it doesn't seem so bad. I think explaining everything here in the forums before the event would have been a bad idea. We should be able to get all of the info we need to proceed - in game.

Now some of the info was there. It was not exaclty clear and due to having incomplete or plain wrong info in the tasks menu made it much more confusing. Heck they didn't even get the names of the NPC's in game correctly. Why on earth should they have a name like war_master_event or similar. We were able to figure it out but that should not make it into game. Plus the camps should be marked on the maps so we have some idea that we need to get there. As stated in the vision fullfilled thread the amount of time you spend fighting the Kitin back versus the amount of time you spend clicking away to turn in stuff was way off. for every 15 minutes of actual battle, harvesting or crafting you spend 2 hours turning it in. Not a good ratio. Fix the turning in part and the majority of complaints will go away.

Now that I have said that. This event is great in my opinion. I don't believe anything like it has ever really been tried before. I could be wrong but I have never experienced such a thing. The whole idea and concept to the actual actions and methods of beating back the invasion is good. It is just held back by a few little things having to do with user interface (which is a common problem everywhere). The user interface is what connects us to the game or event so mucking that up really has a bad impact on the game no matter how good the underlying content is. Which in this case is really good.

If we can beat it back in one land we can beat it back in all lands. I for one will be helping out in other lands once we remove the threat from Matis.

Here is a good question, when will we know when we have our outposts full of guards and there is no need to try to continue to produce more?

We had a guild mate do the crafting and made 10 sets, which should have made 2 total sets of 5 warriors, he turned them in accordingly, but no warriors showed up, is the matis lands already done with warriors and should we move on to tryker / fyros or zoria to help them now?

Also, he filled the orders with harvests mats, instead of doing the harvest turn in for the generic mats, so what he made was better stuff, could this have been the problem?

To many questions for an event that is already underway.

you may get guards at another camp to start with. or they may appear later on

as of 8 am this morning, there was a huge server stall, and a mass of guards appeared at the craft camp in tryker. i havent been to any othe camps but this is a definate change form last night. so, it may be that there is a time delay between creating soldiers, and having them appear, i dont know yet

On Sunday morning I was doing some of the harvesting missions for Kitin Secretions and saw no guards anywhere in the are where I was harvesting. That night, roughly 12 hours later, there was a outpost tower with 5 guards patrolling that hadn't been there before. I confirmed this with a fellow guild member. So not only do the guards populate the 3 existing camps, but they create new defensive locations and populate them as well. Speaking about it from a strategic sense as others have done. These are not supply bases which you want at the back of your defenses, but rather they seem to be advance bases that will be the heart of the defense when the invasion comes.

I tried to forage im lvl 70 desert forge. message your stanzas are too low.
Craft, im lvl 56 dont have the plans for the weapons asked for. Fight im 130 2h melee this is not realy a fighting event is it. aaaaah just frustrated. This event wet the bed.
It isn't a craft / forage event, fighters have their part to play as well. Like protecting the foragers while they dig stuff. Working together is the best way to do this 'event' effectively.

Yeah good point, I'd forgotten that! Everyone has their part to play!

If you look here, you can see that there is a point to all this!
