Please help!!

I have pleaded my case to the gm's (Turenkarn) and its been elevated to the sgm's but I am not holding out much hope. So I'm going to try here to see if any kind soul will assist me.

I have been playing for some time, but never found the need for packers. Relenting, I thought I would purchase one because I was carrying around all my different armour type and jewelry.

Ok, I got my new packer and loaded it with everything I had. Playing around with it I managed to make it follow, sit and beg. That being done I put it away in the stable.

After a little while I needed some of the equipment on my packer. Could I as hell as like find an option to get it out the stable (please bare with me).

The only option I found closest was "free". Don't click that I hear you cry. Well I did. It asks me if I was sure I wanted to do this. Don't click that I hear you cry. Well I did.

Now. If it had said "Setting this packer free will lose all items on it" I might have said NO!

Long story short. I lost everything, and I mean everything. All my specially made armour with high sap bonuses and my most trusted possession which someone very kindly gave me on loan. A superb ql140 amp with 97% bonuses on everything. I haven't told him yet its gone. I daren't.

So you can understand my predicament. My heart and soul sunk.

Are there any kind people out there willing to help recoup my massive loss?

From my understanding, no-one has been reimbursed from packer losses, but I know my case to be total accidental and not some unscrupulous attempt to exploit anything. I have genuinely lost everything by accident.

So, thats my story. Please contact me ingame (Phazula) if you can assist. And if Kye is reading.... I am TRULY TRULY TRULY sorry for the loss of your amps.

I see how upset you must be about loosing all your gear to a missunderstood command, but then again equipment is easy to replace in this game (its not as if there is any ultra loot item that takes month to aquire).

Just suck it up and get back to "work" on aquiring the same (or higher) items again.

You are right, the equipement can be replaced, but as I am not a crafter it will take some time and dappers. At the end of the day, the light armour and jewelry can fairly easily be replaced. It was the amps I was most distraught about.

Actually, if memory recalls, I believe you are the person that actually made Kye's amps for him

For future reference - I guess you already know by now though -

To get a packer out of th stable you bring up your Animals window (Ctrl + P) and right click on it then choose leave stable.

What items do you require - please list them or if you would just prefer money please state the amount you require.

But you have to be close to the stable to do this, which I think is probably where you went wrong!

Also, you don't have to get your packer out of stable to get items off it (or put them in for that matter). You just open your inventory, select the packer tab, right the item and select move to-bag from menu. Again you need to be close to the stable.

I now know that my problem was that I wasn't close to the stable. Thats why the command wasn't there.

I'll know better next time.

With regards to what I lost and am trying to replace. Mainly it was a full set of light armour with min 60 sap bonus on most items. Jewelry was in the same region. I did have Light armour with hp/stam bonuses but as I am a mage, it isn't all that important to replace.

Bottom line, I'm looking to replace the amps that were given on loan to me. The rest I can live without (for now).

Firstly you shouldnt be able to free a packer with items on it, this was always the case until Nevrax changed it.

I did get a packer returned to me as I freed a dead one and it freed the live packer back in yrkanis stable - a bug.

However, no packer should be able to be freed unless empty this stops this sort of thing happening.
