A new tip:
I tried switching to 64Mo to increase loadspeeds, and Ryzom started crashing every few minutes. When changing back to 128Mo it ran smooth as ever with only a *very* small loading delay.
Also I used a lot of usefull tips from http://www.tweakxp.com and that REALLY speeded stuff up! Specially the one about the last time a file was accessed or altered and the one about the swap file (to make it span multiple disks in my machine).
Will start on some new tricks I thought out, will let you all know.
