As have already been stated (more than once I believe) the jewelry "decay" wasn't a sneak feature, read the patch notes.
It wasn't a feature that was "turned on" before the patch, and some people was probably used to the idea that it would never disappear.

It miffed me a bit in the begining, especially since I relied on the bonus (being sort of reckless with my actions :o )... Anyone say a crutch?
But it made me think about what and when I needed the bonus, instead of just going for a full set all the time, and whimper when it fade.

When you're high level, especially harvesting, grinding lower level craft skills is quick and easy. Jewelry splits at 51 -- you can level jewel crafting up to 50, throw together a bunch of q60 jewelry sets and stick them on your equipment packer. It's still +300 to one of your stats that you'll never be without when you don't want to use or don't have a "real" jewelry set.

As I said I have no problem with decay as it should be being that armor and weapons do as well it makes sense. What I have a problem with is the decay rate. No whimpering about that, it's just unreasonable at the rate it does decay on hp jewelry. 2 days worth of wear is not acceptable as far as I am concerned. For the amount of time it takes to harvest the mats and make these items, and for all the people that need, it's simply not reasonable. I would even be ok if they did something liek added a 3rd mat needed to make it stronger as long as the time lengthened was worth going after the third mat.

Compare the size of armour and jewelry, the HP doesn't look so bad then.
Check the stats on the jewelry you buy, is it "lightness" or "durability"?
The last will double the lifetime (most people sell in the "lightness" category).
One could hope for a new material, which could improve the "durability", appearing with the rite mission :)

I still don't agree. It does look bad when you go through it in 2 days. As I said, I am ok with decay but come on. So what if they are smaller, not like a kincher comes up and says here let me bite you on your ear or your finger. When I get smacked around it's usually in the arms and chest and legs and head. Not my ears or fingers or throat or wrists or ankles.

Yeah I actually was experimenting lastnight with the animal parts with the limited number of mats I could find on the vendor. I had actually begun this by buying some mats simply to grind with and discovered lo and behold they were twice as better than using choice amber and seed. Normally I get a durabilty rating of 19 with choice amber and seed and with the animal parts (and amazing enough these were only basic and fine parts) I was able to get up around 39 I think. Normally the hp's that come out on my jewelry are around 119 or so. Lastnight some of the jewelry I made with the animal parts was up as high as 248 hp. These were called (insert jewelry name here) of durabilty rather than of lightness. This is still going to be a pain as I don't get out and fight much, but at least it's a start. I am curious to see how well these hold up under battle. So my idea on this is that focus jewelry is ok to be made with seeds and amber as they just don't take hardly any wear and tear and to make hp jewelry out of these animal parts. Also, I did find that there are some plant parts that work very well, too, though I can't remember the name off hand.
