Of course you are free to act how you choose. But these rules are there and will be enforced. It's unfortunate that some will feel unable to act within a simple frame of rules.

While we have no issue whatsoever with taking up requests for extra chat channels with the developers the rules for existing chat channels will stand and be observed.
