Re: The Group/Guild Irony
I've played a lot of MMORPGs over the years (EQ, DAoC, AO, SWG, FFXI). Many of these had good or even excellent "Looking for Group" tools built into the game. To me, this makes a huge difference. It is such a time saver to be able to flag yourself as LFG or as a group leader looking for more. I ...

Re: Thanks Nevrax for the free week
My bad. I didn't read the email. I just looked up my account information on-line. And you're right. It does show the transaction date of the charge as 10/22.
That still doesn't address the issue of the free week though. Have you gotten any additional information on that?

Re: Thanks Nevrax for the free week
Ok, I guess the additional free week doesn't work the way I expected. I thought the free month included with the purchase price had been extended to 5 weeks meaning that I had 5 weeks instead of 4 to decide if you wanted to continue subscribing. My credit card just got charged for my first monthly ...

Re: Thanks Nevrax for the free week
Thx much! And thanks for the quick reply! I've played a lot of MMORPGs and have never experienced this level of support from the developers or publishers. Very refreshing!

Re: Thanks Nevrax for the free week
Cerest, in case you look at this thread again, I have a question: In the announcement where you said that a free week was being added, you said that the billing system had already been updated. I just checked my account information and it still shows my original billing date (1 month from ...

Re: Solo Fighter and Downtime
Is it possible that your armor and weapons are too low. I'm assuming that you are using player crafted armor and weapons but if you are 65 and using QL50 armor and weapons, that seems low. Granted, I am not nearly your level but at 35 in Melee Fight, I'm using QL50 armor and QL40 to QL50 weapons. If ...

Re: Tactics, Exp, Decay and God and the World, read and learn!
What would be so wrong with having decay actually correspond to use of the item. It makes absolutely no sense why armor should decay if you haven't been hit; why a weapon should decay if it stayed in its sheath for the whole fight. Of course with a system like this, each class would have different ...

Nevrax, remove region restriction on download!
I really don't understand what Nevrax is thinking. They have done a good job of advertising the game (practically every MMORPG fansite I've been to lately has a Ryzom ad) but the game distribution has been a nightmare. I frequently go into several stores that sell computer games and have yet to see ...

Re: hmm each patch things get a bit more unstable...
Glad the OpenGL seems to be working out for you so far. With any luck, the problem with the Direct3D will get sorted out eventually. I just wanted to mention one other thing. Several people have posted that they had lockup problems and had tried different drivers with no luck. Somone else ...

Re: hmm each patch things get a bit more unstable...
For the record, it is not all ATI cards that are having problems. I have a Radeon 9800 Pro and I have not had a single problem with lockups or crashes. The game plays flawlessly on my machine. I have heard that some people have been having problems with older ATI cards. I do agree that the lag ...
